Gun are back!
Yup, anyone who had even a passing fascination for rock music "back in the day" will remember Gun and the infamous cover of Word Up - well the news is out, the guys are back. They've hooked up a new vocalist, the AMAZING Toby Jepson (he of Little Angels glory) and hit the road over he past week.
Caught them in Edinburgh, loved it. What a show! Tobes has fit in perfectly and has made the songs his own, and even the new track they played sounded like it bodes well for the future.
Meeting the guys after the gig was cool too - top blokes, the lot of them.

Birthday!
So here we are. One year older, still none the wiser. As Mr. Bongiovi once sang "I like the skin I'm living in, I'm not old, just older"
Looking at how things have changed for me over the years, I can honestly say that I may be a bit down about my life, but I wouldn't change a thing. I've got great parents supporting me, and I've honestly got the best friends a bloke could wish for, who are always there for me if I need them. If you judge a man by the company he keeps, then I'm sorted for life...
So I managed to get out on my birthday for the first time that I can remember - hit a few bars in the West End - the Aragon, The Lismore (just for the toilets, natch) Bar Otto and The Basement - then headed into town to the Solid and finally off to Ivory Blacks for a 70s tribute night.
Top night had by all, and a much needed good time given the week from HELL I've been having up until now.
No dramatics, no problems with anything and not drunk either. Good times, my friends - good times.

Out...
OK, well it was a "quiet night" by normal standards... no drama, no somersaults, no real moments of note, bar noticing the Black Triangles being on - didn't expect them and they were awesome.
'twas a good night, but I felt a bit out of it - I hadn't had a good day on Thursday and I don't think I had properly recovered. All of us were a bit out of sorts and I think it showed.
Supposed to be getting dragged out next week for Birthday celebrations... but I don't know. Hopefully, I'll feel a bit more like myself next week, but I'm just a tad down and stressed out this week.0 Comments 70 days

Was out last night, dat was good! Den dis morning walked to da street to see da Foy on da pier. Took Kira's 2 brothers and sister to see da carnival in da evening so has been a great day! :-D
