In a world that now seems to take notice only of melodramatic soundbites and grandiloquent gestures made against lurid, 2-D backdrops, I Am Kloot are a Harold Pinter real deal to everyone else’s overblown, Cecil B de Mille mock-ups. The rough ‘n’ tumble of realism is what makes Johnny Bramwell (singer/songwriter and guitarist), bass player Peter Jobson and drummer Andy Hargreaves tick. It’s the source of I Am Kloot’s misanthropic and surreal wit. When cut with their own brand of beat-up romanticism, it’s also what caused a girl to faint clean away during the band’s first gig outside Britain (in Paris on Valentine’s Day 2001) when she heard them play ‘Twist’. a might be the only one postin, but come back to the dam. always a sell out gig, melkweg and paradiso last 2 times. Come on, yer 1 eh the best live bands kickin about, always a packed house in the dam, if you get an early gig in,you can still do the dutch festivals and another late gig in the dam, again, come on you always fill the halls, see youse soon, a hope, in amsterdam.
Its a new year, we need a really good gig to kick us off man, get aw that credit crisis pish oot the system or somethin, we're jist needin somethin to kick start the year, a think, a good gig always does it.

heyy.. you probley get this all the time.. but oh my word. i absolutly love this band.. to be honest i hadnt even heard of you. until i went to see elbow (who i love also) at delamere forest. on wow.. me and my dad just couldnt get over how good you guys were.. i love all your songs and i am always listening to them.. i have my own little playlist on my ipod dedicated to I AM KLOOT and Elbow! haha... how sad! i am going to see Elbow again at liverpool uni, and i am GUTTED very gutted that you are not their supporting band. i just cant believe it. Anyway thanks for making very good music
