Health Spot is a health service for young people aged 12 - 25 years in the South East of Glasgow. It encourages young people to take responsibility for their own health and well being by providing direct health and education services.

Health Spot provides a wide range of services that includes:

Drop-In
The Drop In provides an accessible health service for young people. It is open on a Wednesday afternoon from 3.45pm to 5.45 pm at Castlemilk Health Centre (entrance via car park). A range of service can be accessed at the Drop In with no appointment being necessary which means you can drop in any time during the opening hours. The services provided at the Drop In are: • Counselling The counselling service offers young people the opportunity to talk through difficult situations over an agreed number of weeks or months. The counselling service is available every week and appointments can be made with the counsellor during the Drop In and at other times throughout the week. • Complimentary Therapies The Therapist provide a range of complimentary therapies, including: · Aromatherapy · Reflexology · Reiki · Massage • Listening Service The Listening Service provides an opportunity for young people to talk about any aspect of their lives in a safe and confidential
The Zone
The Zone provides an accessible health information service for young people in an informal setting. The Zone is currently based in the Jenniburn Centre and is open from 7pm to 9pm on Thursdays. Information: Information is available each week about you can access leaflets or the internet on any aspect of your health. Advice: There are also Health Workers at the Zone there each week if you require any advice on any aspect of health. They are also there to assist with any additional information you may require. Educational Workshops: Each month our workers will have a highlight event which will focus on a specific health topic. This event consists of interactive activities, which are very informative, informal and fun. Condom Distribution Scheme: You can also access condoms at the Zone. You are given factual information on the different types of condoms available, a condom demonstration and condoms.
