Half Hour Heroes are a 5 piece band from the north dublin area. Having started their "music career" in november 2008 they've played in venues such as Whelans, Thomas House, Dominican College and Killaloe in Co. Clare to name but a few! After a couple of member changes Half Hour Heroes are hoping to make their mark in 2009/2010.

So the dreaded Leaving Cert fast approaches and due to this Half Hour Heroes are now taking a break.
We'd like to thank everyone for their support over the last year, our venues would be empty, our songs would be quiet and our souls would be crushed without all of you!
Thanks especially to all those who came to The Twisted Pepper on the 16th of January. You really helped us go out with a bang.
We shall be back soon, with a new E.P and hopefully a new project known for now as "Our Summer Sound".

Half Hour Heroes review 2009
To be honest I’m amazed that this band aren’t more popular because they are the exact type of pop-punk music that is really beginning to sweep its way into the world’s music scene.
They are the band Half-Hour Heroes , a Dublin based band with Lena Kelly on vocals,Darren Wade on bass and backing vocals, Andrew Curran on lead guitar, Justin Cappoci on Drums and Luke Maycock on rhythm guitar.
Now I’ll admit that pop-punk is not my favourite when it comes to music, but these guys are defiantly something I could listen to. Sure, their not the most hardcore band on earth which of course is the path they’ve chosen (ironic).
The first song I listened to was “The Path I’ve chosen”, you could almost nick-name it the puppy love song because this band have such a teenage romance kind of feel in their music, both in lyrics and melody.
The second song was “lights at Home”, a touching and once again somehow city-romantic feeling, sad but happy at the same time.
Those of you girls who love to cheer,blow-kisses to guitarists and NOT mosh at gigs, this band are perfect in every way for you, or those of you who hate jazz but need smooth music this band’s CD would go down perfectly for you.2 Comments 153 weeks

Looking for bands for 2 stage all day all age festival in Glasnevin Saturday 28th August *Please note that the bellow details may* change due to certain circumstances 28th August 2 stage Festival 1 in Door and 1 Out Door. Showcasing bands from all over Ireland of all ages. Venue is Based in Glasnevin 2 minutes from Phibsboro (Venue to be announced later) Starting at 12pm and running till the early hours that night. **Bands will be required to sell a certain amount of ticket to secure there place in the festival** We are giving 40 minutes to each act but this does include your set up. all equipment will be supplied on the day it will be just the minimum equipment needed from each band like leads ,Snare,Kick,sticks etc. To apply please copy and paste the application on our blog on our page fill it in and email back to us. We are only looking for a certain amount of bands so places will fill up fast.....
