Goreyskateclub are starting the summer SK8 Skool again. This is for either beginners wanting to learn how to skate or for skaters wanting to improve their skills on a skateboard. The SK8 Skool will run over the summer months and has everything from advice, tricks + tips, maintenance for your board, mini competitions and much more.

Yes, to start the summer off, Goreyskateclub in association with Wreckless Skate Shop are holding and Paddys day skateboarding competition. We will be particpating in the local Gorey parade first and then heading up to the skatepark for the comp. The parade starts from the monument at the top of the town (up past the hospital) at 3pm on 17th of March. We are meeting at 2.30pm on the Avenue beside the new civic centre development (large wreckless sign in front garden). We would ask that all and any skateboarders and inline skaters from Gorey or visiting come with us in the parade. The more the merrier. If you do, you have free entry to the competiotion in the skatepark. Simple as that. If you dont, a €5 entrance fee must be paid. The funds raised are for GSC to help get an extension onto the skatepark. Prizes are being given by Wreckless. We hope to have a bit of music, a bit of craic, a game of skate or possibly a street skate comp etc. different age groups so everyone has a chance and a prize for best dressed also.

The bus will be leaving Gorey at 10am from the showgrounds side of the Town park (fort road). the car park in front of Teagasc building. Be there at 9.45am please. We will be leaving at about 4.30pm and home in Gorey about 6pm. All coming on the trip are asked to bring a packed lunch.
