- Go MAD is a group of students in Auckland who are involved in running and leading lunchtime Christian groups in their schools.
Our vision and aim is to Go MAD.... Go Make A Difference in our local schools and give students the opportunity to hear and respond to the message of the gospel through events, acts of service, bible studies, prayer meetings, and other lunchtime activities.
Scripture Union NZ facilitates ongoing and regular training days and events in Auckland with the aim of bringing different school groups together to learn from each other and encouraging and training up student leaders to be more effective in their ministry.

Next Go MAD Training..
It feels like this term has only just started, but it wont be long til the holidays are here again and that means time for Go MAD take 2!
At the moment it looks like the first week of the school holidays will be our next Go MAD training day in Auckland. How does the 1st of October look for everyone? Let me know what you think and feel free to suggest other dates if the 1st doesn't work so well for you.
Also start thinking about what kind of things you would like us to talk about, and if you have any burning questions or issues let me know and I'll do my best to incorporate them into our next training event.
I think it would be really good to start talking about and thinking about what is going to happen in 2009. For some of you this year is your last year at school, so who is there to take hold of the reigns next year and what can we do to help and support them. We'll take some time to talk about how we can be encouraging younger leaders and getting others involved in leading and running parts of the group, so have a think about who is around at your school and invite any keen students you think would have the potential to run your group in future years.
Another idea we had was to invite someone in to talk with any senior students moving from school into the workforce or going on to University and give you the opportunity to talk about this transition from high school to adulthood.

Prayer Letter..
Hey guys..
Just a reminder that if you have any specific prayer requests or praise points to share with the many people who are praying for schools in their area and the work of Scripture Union around Auckland flick me an email at luzette.hermon@scriptureunion.org.
nz and i'll add it into my prayer letter that i'm writing up this week.
It would be great to share some news and give people who are praying for schools more specific areas of prayer. If you would have anything for me to add into my prayer letter please email me asap as I need to have it finalized by Thursday at the latest.
