Yu-Gi-Oh! AGX: Abridged Generation X (Episode 23)

  • this story about jaden ugi and Yusei saved the world 28 weeks ago

Well! Long time no see, blog! It's about time I got into this baby again! Well for those that don't know me, I'm shadowhunter, the DSDatabase global moderator woot! For today, I would like to focus on the Yu-Gi-Oh series, which brings some curious questions to my mind.

To start this excellent day, what is it about this series that brings so much attention? In my opinion, it's OK. In the old days, back when Yami Yugi (A.K.A Pharaoh Atem) the show was centered around Yugi Moto, the freshman kid of Domino High. He does all these things and saves the world, blah blah blah, earning him the title King of Games, or "Yu-Gi-Oh!" Let's fast forward a few years into the future.

Yu-Gi-Oh moves into its new series, Yu-Gi-Oh GX! Great. Nothing too special, nothing extraordinary about the story. Jaden Yuki enters Duelist Academy and beats his demons. That's GX in a nutshell. But what was the definition of King of Games? I see no reasons in this anime to crown Jaden as anything. He wasn't too special, only recognized as a duelist with talent. And isn't the King of Games title singular, if I'm not mistaken? I highly doubt that my grammar is wrong. I just don't see anything about this kid that gives him that title, and I watched all 180 episodes, mark my words! I'm such a fanboy. What does this boy and the Pharaoh have in common? I'm kinda failing to see that. Fast forward a few more years into the future.

Great. Another season with more cards and toys for everyone. Wow, we even have a new character, Yusei Fudo! He doesn't seem to fit the King of Games title either! He certainly fits it more than Jaden though. He has all these Signer powers and saves all his friends, but he doesn't have that King-ish aura about him. In my opinion, without his powers, he's just a big man on the streets. And what's with the serious change in attitude? Yu-Gi-Oh! used to have such a light-bright and cartoony atmosphere, but now it's dark and has a rougher atmosphere. It seems that each season had its hits and misses. I really got bored with this season fast, after the Dark Signer arc I just stopped caring. It's like the Pokemon anime, but worse. Pokemon started going sour after what, season 8-9? I don't remember. Yu-Gi-Oh has lost itself after season 3, though their seasons are much longer than Pokemon, so maybe its around the same time. Great, I just contradicted myself and I'm too lazy to delete the data. You guys get the idea, the shows are losing themselves.

Back to the King of Games idea. Now should we name it the Kings of Games, or Yu-Gi-Ohs!? Who, in your opinion, is the TRUE King of Games? If YOU had to choose between Yusei, Yugi, and Jaden, who would you pick? Post, and tell me why you think so. Well, my entry is:

YUGI! Yugi was the one that showed the most devotion to friends and he seemed the most enigmatic of the bunch. At this point in 5D's and at the end of GX, we could sort of read Jaden and Yusei and tell all about their characteristics. Yugi, on the other hand, seemed so mysterious. There were things about Atem that I still wanted to find out about, but he departed too soon just as we start seeing things about him. I felt like I got a treat snatched from me at the last second. I was secretly hoping that Yugi would lose the ceremonial battle. Hehe. Yugi showed the most interesting characteristics and the most change of the three. Jaden shows courage by attacking his Neos against Slifer the Sky Dragon at the end of GX but he's still a homeboy. Yusei still needs to develop himself in my opinion, get more into Duel Monsters than this Riding Duel rubbish. Yugi was able to take out the strongest monsters of his time after all his days with the Pharaoh, without any of his friends' support. That, and his change, make him my King of Games candidate.

Well, that concludes my blog. This was just a warm up act in preparation for my review of the Supercard DS Two. Stay tuned for that, and be sure to reply and give your thoughts on the

  • Yu-Gi-Oh! 3D Bonds Beyond Time

Yu-Gi-Oh! 3D Bonds Beyond Time, known in Japan as Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie: Super Fusion! Bonds That Transcend Time is a 3D film, starring the three protagonists of Yu-Gi-Oh!, Yu-Gi-Oh! GX and Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's: Yugi Muto, Jaden Yuki and Yusei Fudo. The movie was produced in celebration of the tenth anniversary of the series.

Unlike the previous movie, this movie is canon to the anime series, taking place before the events of Crash Town in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's.[7]

    Edit SummaryEdit Apocalyptic future
In the future, the human civilization had been destroyed. Paradox travels back in past to prevent his future by eliminating the source of that destruction; Duel Monsters and its creator, Maximillion Pegasus.

    Edit Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's present
Yusei Fudo had a nightmare about the Zero Reverse incident that his father created. With Yusei upset, Jack Atlas and Crow Hogan decided to have a Turbo Duel to cheer Yusei up. After driving down the highway, Paradox, who traveled back in Yusei's time, challenges Yusei to a Turbo Duel. After a few turns, Yusei tunes "Junk Synchron" with "Junk Warrior" and Synchro Summons "Stardust Dragon", but Paradox reveals a blank card, and launches a beam at "Stardust Dragon", absorbing it and creating a blackened corrupt card of it into the blank card. Yusei confronts Paradox, who shows him the corrupt card, before vanishing through time again. Yusei, Jack and Crow halt their Duel Runners and look in bewilderment at the original "Stardust Dragon" card, whose illustration has just been blanked.

Yusei, Jack and Crow then started questioning about Paradox's identity at their garage, when Akiza Izinski, Leo, and Luna arrived, and showed the archives they found about the past. They found an old article about "Maximillion Pegasus" and "Yugi Muto", with Yusei recognizing Yugi as a legendary duelist. They also discovered a record of "Stardust Dragon" assualting various duelists in Europe. Knowing that "Stardust Dragon" could not have existed in that era, Yusei zooms in on the article's picture to discover Paradox standing in the background of the dragons. Outside, New Domino City begins to crumble and collapse. Witnessing the destruction, Jack Atlas realized that "Stardust Dragon's" existence in the past is now changing the future, which is their era.

With the support of the other Signers, their marks begin to glow as the complete Crimson Dragon appears on Yusei's back followed by Yusei's Duel Runner glowing as well. Yusei feels himself being called by the Crimson Dragon and beckons Yusei to board his runner. With its help, a time slip is opened and Yusei begins his chase after Paradox.

    Edit Yu-Gi-Oh! GX present
    Jaden and Yusei talking.
Added by HelliarIn Venice, Paradox finds Jaden Yuki, who still has the powers of Yubel and The Supreme King. Paradox attacks him with "Cyber End Dragon" and "Rainbow Dragon". Jaden manages to resist by Summoning "Elemental HERO Neos" to protect him. In response, Paradox Summons "Stardust Dragon", a monster from the future, and proceeds to overwhelm Jaden (This scene is how the movie opens before changing to Yusei's nightmare of Zero Reverse). Stardust Dragon's first attack almost destroys Neos and sends the two skidding backwards into a wall.

As Paradox commands Stardust Dragon to attack Jaden again, Yusei appears with the Crimson Dragon, who takes the blows for Jaden. Paradox disappears once again.

Soon, Yusei and Jaden began to chat on a roof. Seeing Yusei's Duel Runner, Jaden gets excited seeing such a technology, asking Yuse
