Seeking Volunteers for Festival 2009
Preparations for Festival 2009 are well under way and we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to be part of the Festival. Helping out is a great way to get way to meet everyone involved, make new friends, get some theatre experience, meet the actors and crew and catch lots of shows. There are lots of ways you can help out - from box office and 'front of house', marketing to lighting, props and logistics.
Our first volunteers' meeting will be in the Dragon, South Great George's Street on Thursday March 19th from 8pm.
Come along to find out more about how you can get involved or to sign-up. If you're interested in helping out but can't make the meeting, don't worry. You can contact us at volunteers@gaytheatre.ie and we'll let you know when we're having our next meeting or check out our website - www.gaytheatre.ie - for details.
Hope to see you on Thursday and spread the word!
Gareth
Volunteer Coordinator

Rainbow Project Belfast8/18/09Hello International Dublin Gay Theatre Festiva Thursday 10th Of September is World Suicide Awareness Day. To mark this event, community groups from across Belfast are participating in an “Walk of Life” to raise awareness of the issue. Groups from across the city are leaving their perspective headquarters to march to City Hall for 6am, to mark this as a Belfast wide event. The event is scheduled at this early time to symbolise travelling through darkness and into light as an expression of hope for those bereaved through suicide. We would like to march from our building Memorial House waring Street at 5.00am Should you wish to become involved in this event, please contact myself on the numbers or email address below.
