All found oil is predictaed to be used up by 2050. with this, scientists are searching effortlessly for a new reliable source of energy. In the last few years Bio-fuel has become more popular, the infamous hybrid car, a mixture of petrolium and a oil made from wheat, is a total contradiction, at the moment the United states are using 38% of all there wheat harvested to create Bio-fuel. The problem arises at production, for every calorie of wheat produce 4 calories of petrolium is used. With food prices rocketing and stores dwindeling were is the scence in Bio-fuel. I put this up to be debated, there will also be a continuim to this in a furter subject.0 réponses 45 semaines

End Test Drilling/mining for Uranium
Activists organise blockade to prevent test drilling for Uranium in Nianfors, North Sweden. We appeal for your support!!
During the last three months local activists have been involved in a dispute with a drilling company over prospecting for uranium close to a small village called Nianfors in north east Sweden.
Nianfors is located in a breathtakingly beautiful valley at the foot of the Majsaberget Mountain, the area is renowned for it's forests, crystal clear lakes and rivers which provide habitat for a wide range of wildlife, flowers. insects and funghi.
In a bid to prevent test drilling activists have set up camp and have set up a blockade to prevent test drilling going ahead. The weather conditions this time of year are tough, some nights the temperature reaches -20 the snowfall can be up to 30cm deep, but people dress heavily and the comradery is wonderful, so the spirit is strong. We make food, sing songs and tell stories among ourselves to pass the time.
Any comrades who happen to pass this way are welcome to join us, everyone is welcome (Except test drilling companies!).
Our website is in Swedish and English, so hopefully you can read about our campaign. We have posted an online Petition and appeal to our comrades in Ireland to extend the hand of international solidarity and sign it.
We can prevent this, but we need all the support we can get, so please circulate this message to as many other comrades as you can. Say 'NO TO CORPORATE PLUNDERING OF OUR PLANET - NO TO NUCLEAR POWER!'

Do NOT listen to that cretin of market liberalism! We, the other, more corporate, guardians of your children want only to ensure cheaper, better value goods to meet and exceed your satisfaction. It is not your home that we are destroying to build a state of the art oil pipe line, it is not your children that we are mercilessly exploiting for cheaper and cheaper goods and it is not you and your pathetic trade unions that we are alienating; so CONSUME my subjects, CONSUME and DESTROY!!!

Another trend has been towards industry consolidation, where the big players purchase their smaller competitors to meet their revenue growth targets and to occasionally keep prices high (this is technically illegal, but the law of supply and demand supports this assertion quite handily). In the retail industry, especially in small to medium-sized towns across the nation, one particular (unnamed) company provides a compelling argument for the evils of monopolies. The karmatic crimes committed by this merciless predator are legendary. When this company moves into a location, most of its smaller competitors are driven out of business. When it has firm control over the retail economy, it can then provide inferior goods and service at the maximum tolerable price levels. coffers of the monopolistic entity.
Warning - as time goes on, the monopoly will NOT continue to offer low prices when it can extract higher prices from its customers. A company's responsibility to maximize shareholder value assures us of this. Additionally, as this company grows in power, it enhances its ability to control and squeeze its suppliers, effectively transferring their profits into the coffers of the monopolistic entity.
Beware of the corporate behemoth in retail and several other industries such as software, banking, telecom, and media distribution. We are already paying the price.
