Combining 21st century ideas with the timeless quality of great quartets from the 1950s, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound have obliterated the traditional mold of gospel quartets. Their unconventional approach to communicating the Good News with ground-breaking originality has blazed a trail that will go down in gospel music history as no other group before them.

The group's founder and leader, Ernie Haase, was a long-time member of the famous Cathedral Quartet. His roots are deeply planted in the rich legacy of music that is both meaningful and thoroughly entertaining. After the Cathedrals bid farewell to their five-decade platform in the music industry, Ernie's passion for gospel music led him to begin a new era in gospel music. He gathered a group of like-minded men who shared his love for great harmonies, time-honored songs and energetic performances... and together they have become an unstoppable force in their industry. Inspired by their heroes, loved by their audiences and blessed beyond their wildest dreams, Ernie Haase (tenor), Ryan Seaton (lead), Doug Anderson (baritone) and Tim Duncan (bass) share a deep love for gospel music. That passion, along with an intensely strong work ethic, has launched them to the forefront of southern gospel music.

The group's first DVD release soared to the top of Billboard Magazine's music video chart and simultaneously topped the Christian Contemporary Music video chart. That same DVD achieved Gold sales status by the Recording Industry Association of America, and the project's accompanying audio release topped both CCM and Southern Gospel audio charts simultaneously at number one.

Ernie Haase & Signature Sound received two 2008 Dove Awards for their second DVD release in the categories of Southern Gospel Recorded Song of the Year and Southern Gospel Album of the Year (Get Away Jordan) and has also been certified Gold by RIAA. The group's success continues with each new release, but perhaps their most rewarding achievement is the new generation of gospel music lovers emerging across the globe as their contagious energy spreads like wildfire.

With the Fall 2008 release of the new audio recordings entitled Dream On, and their Dream On DVD and (which filmed in Chicago at the Famous Navy Pier), Ernie Haase & Signature Sound continue to break new ground with inspiring, entertaining performances packed with truth and overflowing with a joyful spirit of gratitude. When it comes to Ernie Haase & Signature Sound it would be an understatement to say that we have been greatly influenced by our rich heritage of Gospel Music. Even in our rushed schedule of touring you will still find us listening to many hours of old radio shows that we have saved on our iPods. The joy in this art form is truly intoxicating!

We thought we would try to capture that joy and pay tribute to the singers and songwriters who started this journey so many years ago. Groups like Hovie Lister and the Statesmen Quartet, The Blackwood Brothers, The Jordanaires, The Blind Boys from Alabama, The Harmonizing Four, The Golden Gate Quartet, and many more who came after them, blazed a trail that we still follow today.

To capture the pure essence and simplicity of the original recordings, we used players who were very intimate with the art form and recorded with vintage amps, guitars, and an upright bass. And yes, we sang and recorded the vocals like the groups did back then... on two microphones... no multi-tracking! We hope you enjoy this special project; but we really hope you never forget the names Jake, Hovie, Chief, Denver, and many, MANY others... we will not, WE CANNOT!
