"I brought 2 home incase I burst 1"

This is Dundee GAA................

The Gaelic Football club is one of the most successful and increasingly popular clubs in DUSU and is one for people of all persuasions and sporting interests.

In our last two academic years we were defeated at the Quarter Final stages of the British Universities Championships in Birmingham by the eventual winners.

In addition, two years ago we were runners up in the Scottish league having won it the year before whilst having done the 'double' the year previous to that, winning the Scottish League & Championship that is!

RGU 0-10 Dundee University 0-10
A tough game in Aberdeen this weekend went right down to the wire. We started well and had three attempts at goal early on. However, RGU found there feet and broke forward to go two points up. A small pitch and wet conditions made it awkward for both teams and there was a lot of heavy hitting from the off. Finally we got off the mark and got a few points back from the boot of Anton Kelly and Murphdog. Eddie went close with a goal attempt half way through the first half but it was very well saved. Ball was priceless around the middle and winning possession here was essential. At half time it was 0-04 to 0-03 in favour of RGU.

The second half was just as close and the hitting got even harder. A few good points by eddie egan and daniel falvey kept us in touch. RGU had a goal disallowed for square ball and shortly after Dundee had a great chance on goal again but it was well saved by the RGU keeper. The hits kept coming and things got heated towards the end. The game finished with the teams trading scores to leave it 0-10 to 0-10 at the final whistle. A tough game but a good result away from home against an impressive RGU side in tough conditions. Next up is Stirling on Wednesday in Dawson Park.

Looking back over the weekend i think the messiest hurler award went to the complete outsider Ross " Balboa " Dolan, with Barry 32" widwscreen Butler running a close second with there 3 nights of drunkiness,

A Special achivement award should go to all 10 in the back of the small bus on the way back from birginham for their team performance, at ever sverice station we stopped at and that 15 minute sing song that will never be forgotton.

The funniest moment award has to go to the "MurphDog" for falling down the enbankment after fogottening how hes legs worked when walking in high grass

And the finally a best preformance award has to go to barry butler for drinking 2 bottles of white wine and who knows how many cans of the wife beater juice on the bus on the way home.
