  • Scottish League- Division One Match Six

    Dundee 1-8 RGU 1-6
    Venue: Riverside Sports Grounds
    14:30 Wednesday 19th November 2008

This re-fixture was played in windy conditions with Dundee playing with the wind in the first half. Dundee only had a two-point advantage at half time after being wasteful with their chances. Dundee’s defence played brilliant in the Second half to hold out an RGU onslaught. The Substitutes also turned the game for Dundee as Kieran O Brien replaced an Injured Eamon McCann and excelled at centre-back where as Donal O Shaugnessy used the ball well and chipped over a point after his introduction in the second half.

Sean Falvey, David Comiskey excelled along with the midfield pair of Padraig MacGiollaBhride and Anthony Kelly also doing well. Man of the Match was between Anthony Kelly and Ray Magee with the latter winning a good share of breaking ball in the middle of the park.

Team: 1. Derek Nolan 2. Gerry Reilly 3. Frankie Duggan 4. Colm Folan 5. James Searson 6. Eamon McCann 7. David Barlow 8. Anthony Kelly 9. Padraig MacGiollaBhride 10. Ray Magee 11. David Comiskey (1-3) 12. Kevin McMahon (0-1) 13. James O Reilly (1-1) 14. Sean Falvey (0-2) 15. Conor Kerr

    17. Kieran O Brien for 6 (inj) 18. Donal O Shaugnessy for 15

In the words of one James P. Molloy "What's goin' on?"

It’s that time of year again when we’re all meeting up with family and “friends”! Myself and the rest of the lads here in London are organising a get together for EVERYONE of the Dundee squad for Galway on the 27th of December.

We’re going to make as much contact as possible through Bebo, and after that it’s going to be up all of us to get the word around and make contact with each other. There’s already a good 20+ definitely on for it, and it would be mighty if we could increase that to at least 21.

The main thing about this is, that absolutley everyone that had anything to do with Dundee is expected/invited/obliged/badly wanted/needed to be there. Whether you only visited a few times to a friend or you went to "Uni" it doesn't matter. We all know each other and everyone is welcome.

The plan is that we all meet up in The Skeff Bar in Eyre Square from 6pm and we'll take it from there.
