Hi my name is jr. I am 21 years old. I'm from the Isle of Lewis and having been playing in bands since i was 13. I draw influences from all sorts. I am a huge fan of techno and Daft Punk are my favourite artists in the world aswell as Benny Benassi, Kavinsky, The Bloody Beetroots and Boys Noize. I also listen to a lot of pop, country, rap and rock music. Some other artist i listen to include Johnny Cash, NWA, The Jackson 5, Hundred Reasons, Death Cab for Cutie, Prince, Thin Lizzy and Much more. Music is my life and I hope you enjoy my music as much as I enjoy making it.
dotjr(pronounced dot-jay-are) is my solo project.
From miles and miles up in the sky each and every person looks the same.
Individually from such a height we are nothing but a tiny dot.
Barely visible and barely noticeable I watch the stars in envy and wish that like them I could be seen as one magnificent and beautiful creation visible to the entire universe.
But no end of wishes shall ever give the stars sight.
So I shall go to the stars and whisper to them that I am different from the rest and though I look the same I have felt different things and I have sung differeent songs and I have breathed different air.
Now the stars know that I am different.
Now the stars listen for my whispers.
Now the stars call me
