- An Irish Progressive Rock Band? Surely Not!
DEAD HEROES CLUB new album 'A Time of Shadow' is due out June 15th 2009
The band wear their influences firmly on their sleeve (GENESIS, TULL, FLOYD) and yet manage to achieve an original and innovative approach to their music. The self-titled and independently produced debut recordings signpost a band that has something to offer the world of progressive rock; a band that is developing its own sound. This is a band who have much more in their locker, DEAD HEROES CLUB are driven primarily by the songs as any listen to their debut CD will show. The second DEAD HEROES CLUB release 'A Time of Shadow' was released in June 2009 The new songs have managed to build on the debut recordings, revealing a harder more mature DEAD HEROES CLUB.

DEAD HEROES CLUB CHRISTMAS SHOW@Nerve Centre, Derry, 18th Dec
Nerve-Centre Publicity for the show below:
“Derry prog rock outfit Dead Heroes Club are playing a much anticipated live Christmas show on Friday 18th of December at the Nerve-Centre in Derry. The band launched their new album ‘A Time of Shadow’ to rave reviews earlier in the year and are building quite a reputation for exciting and powerful live shows. Recently signed to top American label ‘ProgRock records’, and with two internationally successful albums that have been acclaimed by fans and critics alike, Dead Heroes Club are a band very much in the ascendancy. Dead Heroes Club’s music has been compared with the likes of Pink Floyd, Genesis, Rush and Marillion, and yet the band has managed to create their own recognisable sound. The band’s latest and second album ‘A Time of Shadow’ has enjoyed enormous critical and commercial success in both Europe and USA, and is beginning to feature prominently on American College Radio as well as notable European based radio broadcasts. With a growing reputation for spectacular live shows, epic songs, soaring melodies and driving power the Dead Heroes Club Christmas show at the Nerve Centre, their last stop before a showcase gig in London, would seem to be one that belongs squarely in the ‘not to be missed’ category this festive season."
Dead Heroes Club are delighted to welcome Special Guests REVIVOR for the nerve-centre show.

Dead Heroes Club Sign with ProgRock Records
Dead Heroes Club sign to ProgRock Records and are set to release ‘A Time of Shadow’ across North American Stores on November 17th 2009. The album will also be made available worldwide at Amazon, itunes, Play.com etc. - It’s a very exciting time for the boys who launch ‘A Time of Shadow’ with a much anticipated live show in their hometown of Derry in Ireland on Friday 16th October at the Derry Playhouse (Tickets here) Reacting to their newfound relationship with the famous ProgRock label Dead Heroes Club comment: “We are very excited to be working with Shawn Gordon and ProgRock records – working with such a renowned and dedicated label will take our music to a much wider audience and give us a strong platform upon which to build. Being an Irish progressive rock band, I guess you could say we are a bit of an unknown quantity but hopefully with the support of Shawn and the ProgRock label our music will get a chance to be heard much more beyond the shores of the Emerald Isle”
Shawn Gordon, President of ProgRock Records comments: “We've signed a very exciting new prog band out of Ireland that we think you're going to really like…I’m a big fan of Irish beer, so I figured I had to also like a prog band from Ireland, but seriously, these guys really bring me back to what drew me to prog in the first place, well crafted songs with great melodies, you’re going to love it!”
‘A Time of Shadow’ is the North American ProgRock Records release from Dead Heroes Club. The album will be released late September 2009 and available in stores on November 17, 2009 but is available for immediate pre-sale at ProgRock Records at a $2 discount.

Excellent!
Hey, Absolutely brilliant music there, I heard about you from Wilson as I get guitar lessons with him. Good old classic Prog, reminds me of early Genesis/Marillion. Any Idea where sells the cds? Oh yeah check out http://www.bebo.com/TFBTE its a new prog band from the Derry area, (funnily enough with 2 of Wilson's students in it) More from the Dream Theater/Symphony X style of prog though. But again great stuff, I'll need to watch out for any gigs in the area!
Uhm... You're not the only progressive rock band in Ireland. Sorry to have to be the one to break it to you.
Ah... Progressive rock. Is there anything it can't do? Awesome, the songs you have up here are pure gold. + 1 fan.
