DC Tempest are an indie rock band from Dublin. The band was formed in 2006 and consists of Alan Starr (vocals/guitar), Lee Tomkins (guitar/vocals) and Seán Hurley (keyboards/guitar), Andrew Beatty (Drums) and Paul Higgins (bass/vocals).

Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, DC Tempest are an indie-rock band known for their eclectic blend of rock and electronica.

The band burst onto the music scene in May 2008 with the release of the Into the Light EP, which was received with critical acclaim by Hotpress Magazine who described the EP as an "impressive statement of intent". Since then the band have been gaining recognition, releasing two more singles and touring.

DC Tempest have built up a reputation as one of Ireland's finest live acts with their ever-growing fan base enraptured by captivating performances and quality tune-smithery. The band have shared the stage with The Coronas, Codes, Oliver Cole, Razorlight, The Minutes, Bon Jovi, The Chapters, Republic of Loose, Kid Rock, The Flaws

  • New Website

    Hey gang,

    Well we have to apologise, we don't really use this page too much. It seems you all moved over to Facebook so we done the same. Here's a quick update;

    We just launched our brand new website www.dctempest.com. It has all the usual stuff such as News, Tours, etc. Basically it’s got everything you need to keep up to speed with the band. We've also had Bebo updated too.

    We’ve been working with Neal Mhaskar on the site who has helped reshape the whole image of the band and captured the essence of the band perfectly with his design. He had to work off some ‘rough’ pre-production tracks to give him a musical guide but he’s done an amazing job.

    There is also a free download of ‘Coming Back Around’ which is remixed by Aaron Faye, another wonderful talent who is currently plying his trade in London. The remix is aptly called ‘Star Little Thing’ Remix. Star Little Thing is the name of the band Aaron is part of. I recommend you check them out. This download will only be available from dctempest.com.

    'Imagination' goes on sale this Friday and you'll only be able to pick it up in Tower Records. It's also available on download through iTunes.
