Happenin’ troops! This is Dave, livin it real in Manchester, home of great beer, great women and, well great beer. I’m in to going to gigs mainly with my crew, including Flipper and Gabs, some great bands in Manchester, constantly lookin for new recruits and for the next Party… Hate boring people, hate rubbish music - that includes techno heads and pop cheese. You wanna know more just ask - am easygoing, don’t care who you are or what you look like, so long as you can still stand at the end of fifteen pints….

I'm gonna be in the HCC!
So I thought dad would miss me while I stayed with Josh - was I wrong or what? Seems to have sunk into a major depression in his creative lull. Plus he's been speaking to Mum about my future... Surprise surprise, Dad reckons studying is a waste of time - wants me to take a leaf out of his book and study the art of life. There's no way I'm ending up like him - selling a sculpture once in a big blue moon and telling anyone that'll listen… no thanks.
So Dave's got a plan. I decided Josh has got it right: living in halls without a care in the world. Tick. Going to minimal lectures. Tick. Napping his way through seminars Tick. Sounds like a right laugh…sounds like something I could probably handle…
So I got on the blower to admissions lady at HCC - so what if it's a community college - they've got a History of Art course. She was about to pull the plug due to low sign up - so I flirted with the old dear, waffled on about Cubism and she managed to squeeze me in.
Just need to sort out some digs like now-ish....and then I can head back to Chester and surprise young Ashworth with my much-needed presence. ...
Ah, it's been a long and crazy summer… but all good things come to an end - don’t they? I got a funny feeling about Hollyoaks - it needs shaking up a bit - and I'm the man for the job… what could possibly go wrong? Better go and pack….

Back in the arms of Joshwa!
It happens to us all. A few pints on a night out with your best bud and you end up in a skip with an old mattress… It was pretty comfy though!. Well, I couldn’t find my way back to Charlotte’s place – Josh reckons The Dog was full and his mum wouldn’t be impressed bearing in mind our Manchester shenanigans. Reckon he’s gone soft on me, have to knock that out of him. He was well up for it though, and good to see Gilly’s new gnashers are holding out.
Seems our Joshwa is at somewhat of a crossroads in his life like my good self… perhaps we should put our heads together. No sign of Sash yet, s’pose I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it.
Tell you what I have noticed tho, this place has its benefits – a nightclub, a pub and a student Union all within walking distance – it’s hardly the Northern Quarter but it’ll do me. Best book my coach ticket back to Dad’s soon, which reminds me I thought I might check out the local Art Gallery – Dad said its got one of the best collections of…..Oh no… somebody get me a drink, I’ve gone all postmodern in my old age…

Middle child blues
Libz is doing my nut in. It's been one whole week since she got 10 A stars in her GCSE's and no-one wants to know anymore!! And to top it off, Paul came back with a brand new career as a consultant anaesthetist or something. It was enough to get mum questioning me about my future and what am doing with my life blahblah. I knew this wouldn't last - the middle child always gets the rough end of the deal.
Don't think mum is buying my excuse about wanting to experience life before Uni anymore. She just wants me in there, doing a degree and settling down. All sounds pretty turgid to me - and she won't lend us any more quids to go to the pub with so... need to think of movin on... and I'm thinkin I aint seen my mate Josh in a while... also sounds like Charlotte needs saving from loony Lydia - that's it, mind's made - Chester here I come....x0 Comments 77 days
