Darkened Place are a Scottish Metal Band out of Dundee.

After a hectic 6 months and alot of time spent looking for a new drummer, the wait has paid off and we have returned to being a 5 piece with our new drummer completeing the line up.

The keyboard elements will remain and will be implemented live by the way of modern technology.

The band has a new focus and drive now and 2009 is going to be a good year for dp. We hope you are all gonna join us for the ride!

  • New line up.

    As you may have read already, Darkened Place are a 5 piece once again made up of:

    Marco Hibbins: Lead Vox
    Neill Birse: Guitar/Backing Vox
    Dale Mc Donald: Lead Guitar
    Gary Shaw: Bass Guitar
    Will Shiels: Drums

    We will no longer be working with Gary McQueen on keys. We wish him all the best for his future musical endeavours.

  • NEW DRUMMER!!!!

    The search is over.

    Without further ado, I can now announce to you that we have a new drummer in the form of Will Shiels.

    Will is an awesome musician and an all round top bloke and we are stoked to be able to welcome him into the Darkened Place family.

    The next month or so is going to be quiet given them time of year and what not, but mark our words,

    in 2009 dp are going to be a force to be reckoned with and we look forward to you all coming along for the journey.

  • DRUMMER ANNOUNCEMENT!

    OK, so here is the deal.

    Things have been fairly quiet on the drummer front while we have been searching for a replacement for our old drummer, Sheppy.

    We have been let down one too many times and Sheppy has offered to work with us on a part time basis till a full time replacement can be found.

    Rest assured, there will be no less fire in the bands determination to push forward and put out some kick ass metal!

    What this means is that dp are back into writing and gigging mode and are ready to get out there and kick some ass!!!
