Claysoul are producers John Burke & Warren Tivy. Based in Youghal Co. Cork, Ireland they have been writing and recording music in the alternative/electronic/power pop genre for some years at Claycastle Studio. The fledgling but industrious Rifle Range Records label has just released Claysoul’s second E.P. entitled “The Circle”. This offering comes in the unusual form of 4 tracks, 2 of which are the same track but with parts 1 and 2. The first track “Everybody hides” is also the single and has already been racing up the chart as an mp3 download at www.downloadmusic.ie.
The second and third tracks are really one piece of music but divided in two as the entire piece is 7minutes and 16 seconds. Part one of “The Circle” is the gentle intro to the explosive “The Circle” part 2, and for all you DJ’s out there the choice of track to use is all yours!
Track four is a remix of the previously released “Raise”. This time vocals are by MC Dodge and the musical arrangement has been updated also. “Raise feat. Dodge” featured on the “Southern Fried 2” compilation in 2006 and has been gracing the airwaves ever since.
All in all, this latest collection of tunes from Claysoul has something for most listeners, as the boys draw from an eclectic pool of influential music. “It’s all about beats, melody colourful lyrics and catchy choruses”
