This site was set up to let you all know what´s going on at the Celtic Bar & Cafe in Playa del Ingles, Gran Canaria.

For those of you who haven't visited us yet, we are situated under the Danubio Apprtments on the Calle Escorial, just opposite the Continental Hotel.

Our music system has over one hundred thousand songs from the 60s, 70s, 80s upto the latest ones in the charts right now plus over 30, 000 karaoke songs

  • Things that go BUMP in the night

    Well, it was the Hallowe'n that wasn't! - Everywhere was as dead as Russel Brand's career!! NOt to be depressed, we still managed to make a party of it - well, Christina is a one-woman party!

    AS promised, we had one of the staff in drag (and the other in Drac) - you knew it was going to be Chris, didn't you?? HE made a very superior mother ;-) - though he has promised not to make a habit of it (ouch).

    It's the DJ's birthday next week, so if you're coming over BRING PORK PIES!!!!!!!

  • Things that go THUMP in the night

    OK, no names, no packdrill, but Yves got a thump on the nose - so he's not his usual pretty self :-) He's sporting a broken nose and two luvverly black eyes.

    Other than that, it's been pretty quiet of late - not just in the bar, but in our whole little corner of PDI. Roll on the Scandi Season!

    As you can see by the countdown, we are having a Hallowe'en party on the 31st (natch!). It's going to be fancy dress, so if you're over here at the time, grab a costume and get on over. You might even see one of the staff in drag!!

    A week after that it's YE DJ's birthday - so there might be another party - if he's sober enough!!!

    Then we have to start thinking about CHRISTMAS and NEW YEAR, so there will be MORE parties to organise...

    HI, Yves here. I've taken the bar over (renting it from Daniel), and I'm looking forward to meeting old freinds & making new ones!

    Chris is also back again, killing all your favourite songs ;-).

    So, if your on, or planning to visit the island, come on over & have a party in the CELTIC BAR!
