The Carers Association is the national voluntary body and registered charity (CHY 10962) established in 1987 for family Carers. Over 160,000 people in Ireland care for loved-ones at home who are elderly and frail, seriously ill, people with disabilities and children with special needs. We're here to provide practical services and supports and be an advocate for family Carers.

We reach Family Carers through our FREEFONE National Care Line 1800-24-07-24 and 16 drop-in Resource Centres across the country. See www.carersireland.com for locations.

We are also here to support Young Carers who may be combining school or college work with caring for a parent, sister, brother or loved one in their own home.
