Add your story to the comment section. We'd love to read it and share in your life experience. Real magic is overcoming the challenges and fears that hold you back in life. Break thru your fears and don't be afraid to be yourself. I have had a lot of emails asking about the clips at the beginning. I had a great childhood and have a wonderful family, but, I as many of you, had to struggle through some rough patches. Sometimes when you feel like you're at your lowest, you become inspired to turn it all around for the better which is what happened to me. The story with the cards is about when I was a kid I finally built up the courage and confidence to show a group of friends a card trick and they smacked the cards out of my hands. I still remember it to this day. I included it because I felt like quitting magic after that, but didn't. Fight scene: I was beat up real bad in front of a lot of my peers. I was all black and blue and that was the low point that started my journey in the martial arts. My confidence and self-esteem were low and TKD and a supportive family helped me break thru those low times. Notice the sign "Try-Outs"... I was in fifth grade trying out for a musical and it was in front of everyone. I got so nervous, started to tear up and walked out. I built up the courage the following year and got a small part.... I was a clown who did magic. I almost didn't tryout again but didn't let the fear of failure break thru me. Currently I am a sixth grade teacher, TaeKwonDo instructor and a magician who performs at birthdays, family show, festivals, teens, adults and lots of magic camps. I see a lot of children who remind me of myself when I young and find it rewarding to be a positive role-model for them. Special thanks to a few of my TKD students for staying after class to help with this project! You all are born actors! Special thanks to Josh Helton for filming - we always have so much fun doing it. For fun Josh doubles in one scene... can you find where? GooGooDolls....Iris...Name (more) (less)
