London!
I love London--it's grand as all get out (as we say in the States) SO MUCH TO TELL--but for now I report a pilgrimage to Abbey Road ( as portrayed so accurately in my WALL drawing on our band page here --although it's hard to portray my terror & confusion with British traffic, which I confess to you nice people is a bit challenging for Americans...). Got some of that fab Beatles mojo standing there seeing all the lovely graffiti, the 'Abbey Road' logo above the door, and intriguingly enough there was a huge truck ( er, lorry) inscribed with the words: 'London Philharmon'. AWESOME, dude.
Later this week--Oxford & perhaps an open mic if I can find one with a piano/ keyboard...?
...& scones & clotted cream of course!!!!!!!!!!!!

Production for True Margrit's 5th album: THE JUGGLER's PROGRESS is winding up... more info forthcoming soon!
True Margrit's signature piano-pop is whip smart, expertly crafted, and has more hooks than a pirate ship. On SEAWORTHY, the trio's 4th and most ambitious album to date, True Margrit navigates the waters of interpersonal politics, vanity, history, time-travel, and mortality, and arrives wth a group of songs that is both emotionally raw and musically evolved.
True Margrit's sound is fueled by singer/ songwriter/piano-player Margrit Eichler's husky-sweet alto, her adventuresome piano, and a secret weapon: the muscular, dynamic, turn-on-a-dime rhythm-section of Gary Hobish on bass and Andrew Bacon on drums.
Although reminiscent of Ben Folds, Fiona Apple, Elvis Costello, and Aimee Mann, True Margrit's sound is all their own--a lyrical admixture of science, history, and personal narrative that explores the tension between what is catchy and what is complex.
