funny like being in hospital I spoke with mummy every day .... and Annie (my sis) both live in the states so its nice. My big bro and my sister in law and came into see me during the week niice to be the needy little sister sometimes

W.A.S called for a 24 Hour Helpline and since then have rigoriously campaigned for such a
service are now delighted to announce one has been launched.

Given the fact Ireland has one of the highest Youth Suicide Rates in Europe
Youth Officer of Wicklow Aganst Suicide and co-founder Mr. Wayne Flanagan Tobin
said :

"This marks a great social moment when the needs of the most vulnerable in our Society
are finally being met. I am very proud to be part of a movement which has continued to
make progress in its campaigns"

Chairman John Curran noted:
"There will be a team of professional councillors and trained volunteers 24 hours a day
7 days a week contactable at 1800 247 100"

Wicklow based RTE 2FM DJ Nikki Hayes who has constantly pushed this issue up the agenda atmeetings said:
" Such a service was badly needed and its great to get this positive news for our group
, county and nation"

Group member Paul Leahy said:
"Another bonus is the fact the service is free of charge"
