Why can't corporations transport important medicines and apparatus along with what they normally deliver?

  • SHINE UNCONFERENCE 2009

    Hi guys,

This is a quick blog to mention my attendance at the Shine 2009 UnConference which will be tomorrow, I and my fellow campaigner Tom Robbins (Random Acts of Kindness) will be speaking at Shine at 2:30pm. We'll be sharing our experiences as well at getting feedback from the myriad of social entrepreneurs that'll be attended.

    Looks like fun.

  • MOLTON HOUSE: LONDON CLUB

    Hi everyone,

Unfortunately, we've had to postpone the event we were throwing at the Roof Gardens for a date later in June. :(

But this could be a blessing in the disguise as we now have more time to make it as good as it can possibly be.

A couple of days ago, I met with a London club called Molton House and they seemed really upbeat about letting us use their venue.

I have to submit a proposal and wait to see if they'll approve it. Fingers crossed.

There is a lot of stuff going into the proposal; it;s proved quite hard getting everything together, but it's fun at least. A lot of emails, phonecalls, and the like.

    Now we wait...

  • THE KENSINGTON ROOF GARDENS

    Hi all,

Thought of letting you guys know how everything is progressing on the event.
We decided on having a nice, little soiree in Kensington- which is a really nice part of London.
We've been lucky enough to secure an amazing venue.
    The Kensington Roof Gardens! http://www.roofgardens.virgin.com/
We had a tour on Tuesday and it looks even better in real life than on the website.
We met with some really nice people from Virgin. Virgin, incidentally have a zero-tolerance policy on HIV/Aids and do all they can to mitigate the spread and effects of it.
However, only today we were informed we need to raise some funds to cover staff and security costs -£1000.
We're thinking we might have to charge on the door or find a sponsor. Pressure, pressure, pressure.

    Wish us luck,

    Troy
