Daz Fest is a free young people's music event organized by a partnership of youth work providers and agencies throughout Dundee. The event was started by Caroline Morrison as a celebration of her son Darryn "Daz" Morrison life. Darryn ended his life on the 5th July 2006. Daz Fest provides young people from Dundee with the opportunity to come together in a safe environment to watch bands, Dj's, dancers and other young performers. The event also give's out "goody bags" with fun stuff included but also info on a range of services (both local and national) available to young people in Dundee.
Dazfest09 will be held on 15th May 2009 at Abertay University Student's Union the night will start start at 7.00pm - 10.00pm. This event is for Under 18's. (this is a drug and alcohol free music event a young people's music event organised by a partnership of youthwork providers and agencies throughout Dundee
