- Me, Myself, and I
- I am Tsimshian/Tlingit and love my heritage, in which I am of the Killerwhale Clan. I am married to a great Moroccan man, who is very caring and a great beading artist. Some of his work is on the Photos section of this website.
I have a wonderful son who is married and they have a precious 9 year old daughter, and a grandson was born on June 3, 2007 @ 2:19 p.m.! YAY!! What a blessing grandchildren are.
I hold a Master's Degree in Education and love my job, which is working with our precious Metlakatla children.
Since I've completed my education, I've immersed myself in our culture, learning about it, including our language, Shm-AL-gyack (Tsimshian Language). I am so thrilled and satisfied now that I'm able to learn about my heritage. I made a vow that it would be my goal after I graduated from college. So, I am still learning, which is a life-long venture for me. I love it!

latest update on my prognosis
Just to let you know... we returned from the doctor's appointment and the chemotherapy is no longer working, so we will be going back home tomorrow, Wednesday Jan 28th. The prognosis is I have a few months to live.
Thanks for your continued prayers, I know they are working because the doctor says I'm in God's hands because it is amazing that I don't have any pain. My liver is even more swollen than last time. Thank God for sparing me the pain!!
-Take care,
Wilma & Mohamed2 Comments 282 days

I only knew you from the chats, you were always cheery and you keep me updated on your cancer and the many visits to the doctors and i was always waiting to hear what the doctors had to say when you returned. I was shocked to find out there was no more the doctors could do, You told me you were ok with the outcome and you were at peace with god. I pray for your family and you to watch over them and keep them safe. I just want to tell all of you that it was a privlidge to have known your mom/wife. Prayers ( Windy from Chicago )
Wilma, you have not only been an inspiration to me, but you have been a part of all my children's school days, from Donald to Tadd, Drew, and Marissa. Thank you for always having an encouraging word and for being such a wonderful lady. You will be missed, but knowing you are with God makes it easier to say "we'll see you again!" Mohamed, Alfie & family are in our prayers!

Well Sis your journey is done, God has called you home for some needed rest. You are walking with God now and you are free to do what you want now. I know that God seen how much you have gone through and decided to take you home. You will be missed but we know where you are at. To your family may God's angel watch over them all and bring them the peace they need. Love you and will miss you sis.
sitting back watching you teach the children of the community, WOW! Wilma you have been an inspiration to many people and will be missed greatly. We sat n' talked with Tegan about how u are in heaven now, brought tears to my eyes, but knowing you are pain free, visiting others & watching over us is also a blessing. I pray for comfort and peace for Alfie and your family. You will be missed & thank you for sharing with our children...
I'm going to miss you Wilma. Thank-you for caring about Mikayla so much. We are sad but we know your are sitting with angels.
Wilma, I know you are now looking down at us from Haven! You will be greatly missed, but your work here on Earth will go on forever! You touch so many people's lives and hearts and we will carry your love, strength and purpose on. I pray that God provides strength and confort for your family and the rest of your love ones!
Hey, still praying for you
Hi Wilma, how are you doing.
It is really busy here, I finally got to meet with my committee it will be so exciting to finish my goals here.
Just stopping in to say hi and miss you, hugs to you and Mohamed. I hope to make it to see Tsimshian dancers this weekend.
Love a friend always, you are in my prayers. Mary Teri
Just thought I would let you know we are still praying and thinking about you! You're a role model for our students and community! You always seem to be full of hope no matter what is going on in your life!
Wilma,
I don't know if you get on here anymore, but I thought I would write a thank-you note to you. You are such a blessing from God! We'll never know here on earth all of the lives that you have touched with your caring, love and joy. My sister talks of how all the students love you! I remember the time you spent with me over my years of study urging me to continue on, no matter how hard it felt at the time. You continue to be in our prayers! May God keep you and strengthen you! Ken
Hi Wilma
Just to let you know that you and your family are in my prayers! I think of you often.
It has been very busy at school here, I have a test every week this quarter.
I will be working on this thing called Tribal Environmental Health and, part of it is to find out what the Tribal college students want.
I know of some who are working on getting their PHD's once they move on, and figure out how we can use our herbs in healing. Just to let you know what Im doing here.
I am glad I came back here , for that reason, but just wanted you to know that I think of you and your family often. Tell everyone hello!
Just wanted to let you know we are thinking about you and your husdand! May God give you strength and comfort!
Thanks for letting us know how your doing. You're quite a lady. Here's a big hug. Me & Michael are going to the sweatlodge in Reno. We'll keep you and your husband in our prayers. Your both such givers.
Love,
Sylvia & Michael
