Lots of meeting and new ideas
Since Kindival, I have been getting lots of positive feedback and a good response, which has been lovely.
In the last few days, I have met with Jo Hillier (Head of Social Action for the Conservative Party), Tom Watson (Cabinet Office Minister) and a few other people. These meetings have been opportunities to discuss my campaign and to get any advice, criticism and suggestions and are enormously valuable.
I am just so grateful for Battlefront and all the opportunities it has provided for me. Next up, I really want to have a think about what to do next, knowing that Kindival is going to be hard to match!!!0 Comments 177 days

KINDIVAL : A MASSIVE SUCCESS
Wow!
Kindival went much better than I could have ever imagined.
The day started with some talks in the lecture theatre. I introduced. Then my mentor, Kate Nash, said a few words about herself and her involvement in the project. Then the comedian, Christian Steel, took over and performed some stand-up and then chaired a panel discussion around themes of kindness. The panel was made up by Louise Burfitt-Dons (Act Against Bullying), Malcolm Scovil (LeapAnywhere.com), Sarah Chowdhury (Business in the Community), Shahrar Ali (The Green Party) and Andy Hamilton (Outnumbered, Qi, Have I got News for You). This went really well, with lots of interesting points raised!
Then there was a break and a chance for everyone to have lunch and look around the exhibition space. The kindival exhibition space included; meditation classes, massages, cookie workshops, art workshops, video artwork, daydreaming corner, kindness questionnaires, free book xing, speakers about kindness and generosity in the artworld, members of the organisation We Are What We Do and the website iLikeucos.com, magic, puppeteers, facepainting, cakes, sweets, music and much more. Great atmosphere, lots of people, great fun!
Then there was another talk by The Kindness Offensive held in the lecture theatre in the afternoon. By now the place was crammed and there was a buzz about the place. The Kindness Offensive gave a talk and, as David was speaking, members of The Kindness Offensive entered from various different entrances to deliver free presents and gifts to every member of the audience. There was allsorts of things given away, all carefully wrapped, for people to go away with. Everyone got so excited! What an end to a fantastic day!

KINDIVAL: one week to go
It is less than a week until Kindival, the festival of kindness.
The event is going to be an attempt to discuss kindness and genorosity in contemporary society with talks, comedy, exhibition and other weird and wonderful activities.
I'm really excited and nervous at the moment. I am trying to plan every detail for the event but know I haven't thought of everything! Everything is so busy and I will be relieved and will be so pleased if it all goes to plan.
I'm off to do a bit more work. Finger's crossed.0 Comments 202 days
