POLLOK CLUB FESTIVE SEASON
Why not book your work, family, or friends' Christmas Night Out at The Pollok Club. On Friday 18th December we are putting on a 'KURRYOKE' night, when The Turban Tandoori from Giffnock will supply 4 different curry's in buffet form and John and Robert will supply your disco/karaoke, great night out for only £17.50. ( only 20 places left) On Saturday 19th December, 'Get Stuffed' will supply your full 3 Course Christmas Dinner, with all the trimmings, this will be followed by live entertainment from 3 piece, super band, 'WEST END' this dinner dance is priced at £29.50 ask at bar for further booking details (deposit required on booking). We also have our Christmas Eve Karaoke, Boxing Day (£1) this year will feature 'JUDAS' while Jan 2 features 'NO PUBLICITY' (free to members - £2 non members).
NEW LICENCE LAWS
Unfortunately we have been informed by licencing chiefs that from September 1st 2009 our recent 1am licence has been cut to a midnight licence, this is a general cut back throughout the licenced trade industry. Our plan to adapt to this change is to open our doors at 7.30pm. The live bands will start at approx 8.45pm and play until 9.30pm then your main of bingo (£2.50), with snowball and 'Play Your Cards Right' (£1), after your main bingo we will run a flyer at 9.45pm, (£1.50), pays out whatever drawn in, your resident dj will then play for 15 minutes until your live band returns and plays for 75 minutes to finish at 11.15pm. Then your disco returns until midnight. Last orders will be at 12.00 midnight and there will be a 15 minute drinking up time and the hall must be cleared for 12.30pm. Thank you for your continued support and co-operation.
OTHER EVENTS
Each Monday in our small lounge there is a Poker Night from 7.30p.m. Every 2nd Wednesday we have our Ladies Night featuring Davie Lennox (ex- Beatstalkers) this is an evening of strict tempo dancing from 8.00p.m. - 11.00p.m. We also have a Golf and Nap Section within our social club, ask at bar for details. Each Saturday Night at 9.30.pm. we have a BINGO Flyer which pays out the total of what it takes in, tickets cost £1.50. At 9.15p.m. we have our regular Bingo, £2.50 a ticket, where once again we play for Big Money, this bingo section includes an accumulating snowball. At 9.45p.m. we do 'PLAY YOUR CARDS RIGHT' once again for a large accumulating cash prize. This Saturday we will be playing for over £675. Some previous winners were Stevie Brown £2030, Josie Gray £300, James McQueer £105, Janie Whelan £435, Davie Shirley £335 and £240 won on Sat 2 May. Congratulations.
PRIVATE PARTIES & FUNCTIONS
The club is available for most types of function (Sorry No 18th's), The Carling Suite holds 180 (not available, privately, on Saturdays) and our small lounge holds 60 (available, privately on Saturdays). Hall Hire is £50 and Entertainment and Buffet packages are available, our social convener, Robert Wood will be more than happy to arrange the best in live bands, cabaret acts, disco or karaoke.Children are also welcome at private functions. For more details call 0141 632 4929. Party passes of up to 60 are also available for you to join our Saturday Party Nights which you would share with our members (but you have NO entertainment costs). Hall hire charge include two licenced door stewards for your added security.
REFURBISHED GAMES ROOM
Why not check out our refurbished games room, thanks to some hard work from members and committee of our club, (plus a special thanks to a good mate), we are in a position to offer an alternative to the live bands in our function hall. We have two top of the range pool tables, facilities for domino lovers and a brand new, fortnightly updated juke box, filled with hits from yesteryear to this weeks charts. Our new cosy, comfy games room has created it's own, very special, atmosphere, we are sure you will enjoy your night out. SMALL LOUNGE our small lounge has also had a makeover, we have installed a new dancefloor complemented by state of the art lighting and are now able to take parties of 50-60 any night of the week, your social convener will advise on entertainment on 0141 632 4929.

      thank god for the great service of the fabulous bar staff(russell and co)there would be far fewer members of the club we owe grattitud to the bar staff and the commited committee that do a sterling job for the greater good of the club for eg robert wood and may it long continue.
