Battlefronter Tom is Still Kind. And Kind of Random…
As you already know, we are hugely proud of everything our elite Battlefronters have achieved. All this winter we’ll be checking in with them to see what they’ve been doing with their time and how their campaigns are going.
This week we caught up with none other than that thoroughly generous and totally random Battlefronter - Tom Robbins.
Since we filmed Series 1 the chief joybringer of the Battlefront crew has been spreading kindness like a caffeine fuelled Father Christmas. He’s since set up camp with the good people of Leap Anywhere [http://www.leapanywhere.com] - and seeing as their tag line is ‘Simple, fun ways to benefit good causes, meet people and have a good time' we can understand why he feels so at home there.
As their new head of video contentment, Tom will be busy squeezing happiness down the internet tubes. So look out for his virals and visual shenanigans coming soon to a computer near you. And much as he might want to concentrate on being behind the camera there are plenty of people keen for him to take centre stage too. Amongst others he’ll be making sense of the ‘Decode Event’ on November 4th in London and the E-Democracy conference on November 25th. Both events are targeting young voters in the hope of galvanising them to engage with voting and politics.
But, fear not, none of this politicking has distracted from the fact that Tom is still just a little bit…
…random.

Natalie Imbruglia Helps Out Battlefronter
So, don’t think for a moment that the Battlefronters are slacking off over half term. They’re still all toiling to keep their campaigns in the headlines.
None more so than our fantastic Holly Shaw. She never stops. It’s head spinning really. Not only is she still working on her ‘Gift Of Life’ campaign but she also helped organise a massive celeb fest for her friend Jessica Wales who is in need of an urgent double lung transplant.
Backed by the good people at ‘Live Life Then Give Life’ they unleashed the brilliantly named ‘Save Jess- Tival!!’ where the likes of Natalie Imbruglia competed with ‘Mock The Week’ comedy hero Ed Burn for the limelight.
The night was such a success that it even got a glowing write up on the ‘Sky News’ website. Though they chose not to mention how irreverent, wickedly rude and plain drunk the fanstastic Canadian comedian Glenn Wool was. Seriously, if you need a laugh go and catch him live.
Not only did the event help raise the profile of Jess’s urgent search for a donor but it also ensured that Natalie Imbruglia fast-tracked her way to the top of the Battlefront celeb list. As well as knocking out a belting performance she seemed genuinely moved by the whole thing, telling ‘Sky’ that Jess: “is now so ill and running out of time waiting for her transplant. I was delighted to take part in this gig in honour of her and to raise awareness of organ donation.”

Channel 4 Rerun Entire Battlefront Series
Channel 4 loved the Battlefronters so much they’re repeating all the shows from beginning to end. It’s another chance to watch Prime Minister in-waiting, James Greenhalgh, grill Ed Balls, The Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families, about tuition fees and a host of other highlights. Tune in to remember all the good times, and just a few of the bad.
The last show features a bumper round-up of all the campaigns in Battlefront: Series 1. See just how far each Battlefronter got and marvel at how much the teams learnt and achieved.
Make no mistake, this battle might be won, but for many of our campaigners the war continues. Keep checking back to find out what our Battlefronters are up to. And if the repeats whet your appetite for more, worry not as we’re all busy working on Battlefront: Round 2. And it’s going to be huge.

heres a sum things that are on ma mind ,
ur wanting to bring every1 thts getting bullied and others that support it ok , well nowdays the best advice a give to any1 is to avoid it as much as u can , instead of teaching people to stick up for them selves, i think they should be teaching them how to use there brains when faced with a knife attack , if theres a big crowd change ur direction etc, av even asked sum grown ups at bookys and pubs etc, and there scared when faced with a crowd of teenagesrs, grown men, and the police, ha , lets just say my opion on them isnt exactly the best, oh yea without a doubt they work hard etc, but could do a lot lot more,
