Well, I learned how to block and delete comments from unwelcome visitors but I decided not to report either of the two sleazy comments - some person called Maria Rossi sent an identical-looking message only this time I had more sense than to click on the link - because it should not be up to the individual to do this kind of policing except on the rare occasion something slips through the net.

It is quite simple. Members should not be allowed to post on the pages of other members unless they have arranged equal access to their own pages by that member first. That would probably prevent 99% of the unpleasant posts at Bebo from happening. It isn't rocket science - other social networking sites manage it.

As long as you allow people more than read-only access without insisting they ask for friend status before posting you will get all the pathetic scumbags on the planet oozing around the site looking for places to spread their unattractive spores.

Logical conclusion? Imagine!

Hell's bells, am I going to get every sleazebag on the planet inviting me to gaze upon their sad ought-to-be-private lives whilst refusing me access to their Bebo profiles?!

I don't know how you scrape things you want to get rid of off your page here at Bebo but I'd like to get rid of the message from Karen Goldstein as soon as possible and the sordid link contained within it too.

I don't remember expressing any interest in looking up other women's skirts at any point, or down men's trousers, either, come to that. Why not? Because I would never have done so and I'm pretty unimpressed that members here can post adult links on other members' sites uninvited. What is the matter with everyone?

Since when did friendly contact with a total stranger involve trying to get them to watch your webcam while you do things that anyone decent and balanced would consider private? How sad, insecure & inadequate does a person have to be to want that kind of contact with a total stranger?
