Fancy spending Wednesday tea-time with a Red Arrows pilot?!
You might have read about it in the news (http://www.raf.mod.uk/news/archive.c... ! Flight Lieutenant Kirsty Moore has recently been selected to join our world-famous Red Arrows. She is the first female pilot ever to fly with the ‘Diamond Nine’.

Ask her about how she trained to be pilot, what it’s like for women on the RAF or what it’s like to do a loop-the-loop in a fast jet, it’s up to you.
You can sign up for a free SMS reminder (http://www.raf.mod.uk/careers/jobs/w... so you don’t miss the webchat.
Otherwise synchronise your watches and we’ll see you on the Careers site next Wednesday at 5:30pm

Im really unhappy in civilian life at the moment. I am currently a Cpl in the ATC and even there i am feeling unhappy. And I am feeling pressured into going college, university and to be an Officer straight away by my parents which argue allot causing me to be more depressed. But currently I would like to join now as a Gunner and do A- levels in my spare time with the Regiment what are the benefits of doing this and then going for a commission in say three years time?2 odpowiedzi 22 tygodnie

Hi, some answers for those of you asking about height restrictions:
There's no general height restriction for people joining the RAF, but there are height restrictions in some jobs, including Firefighter and Pilot.
Pilot height restrictions depend on the aircraft you fly and it's not it's not definitive on height in general, the medical goes into more detail such as length of arms, length of legs etc.
Be back with more answers soon!
I have added the RAF fitness app to my profile, which has created a module on my profile page, but the widget itself doesnt appear in the module. Only a link to the widget can be viewed. I see you have managed to embed the widget on the RAF profile page and have even added a link below it to allow others to set it up on their profile page. Can you please explain how you have managed to do this as I want to be able to do the same. I want to make the widget appear in the module instead of just a link to the app.
Hi, i've been thinking about joining the RAF as a Medical Officer. I am currently doing my Highers at school. Is there any advice you could give me about what Highers i need and what other qualifications i need.
Also, what can i expect after i join the RAF? Thanks
what are the height requirements.
Done the personality test on the career website
looks like Intelligence Analyst is number one for me
Hey.. I had been thinking recently about joining the RAF as Personnel Support.. I think it would be something different and a great challenge.. How long is your training for and it seems a great career to choose. would be nice to hear from people already in RAF to say what its like! Thanks xx
looking to join as an arial erector.....cant wait corpral at careers office says it will open somtime in the spring, hopfully fingers crossed.get away lol
To Ashley,
Sorry to hear you had to pull out. I'm not sure if you will have to re-take your test. The best thing to do is to go and talk to the people in your local Armed Forces Careers Office. You can find your nearest one here: http://www.raf.mod.uk/careers/applic...
Good luck with your application
To Ross:
We don't ask for a degree, and you have to complete a number of tests to get into the RAF at officer level anyway (see the application process info on the website: http://www.raf.mod.uk/careers/applic...
I can't really advise beyond that. If you are on Twitter though you can follow Intelligence Officer Paul Farthing @RAFlivePaul and ask him about this on there. Hope that is of help!
Hey everyone, here are some replies to your questions...still waiting for a few replies from RAF HQ.
To Soldier Boi Chez:
Whilst in the RAF you have the opportunity to get further qualifications if you want and can get financial support. I must stress however that your job/role in the RAF will take priority. As an RAF Regiment Officer the training you will undergo will be intense and then you are likely to deploy quite soon after training. I don't want to put you off, because a lot people do further studies whilst in the RAF, I just want you to know that it might be a few years in before you have the time to do it.
Joining after Christmas as RAF Regiment Gunner

Thanks.
