- It’s been a crazy time: Back in the summer of 2005, the Evolution weekly discussion group took a different turn and tried out a jamming session, the result was noise, but good noise. We tried it again and it sounded better. 3 months later we hosted our first worship concert supporting First Sunday Band and got some cool feedback. All through 2006 we put on Sunday evening services. We played at Firm Foundations and at VBS. Then in January 2007 it was time to put on the show again. Support from Crucial fix, an unbelievable night, things were happening. The band had evolved, quite literally. A few more concerts in 2007 but writing was happening. Fast forward to early 2008 and another new line-up, time to get serious. March 29th into the studio. Four tracks laid down. End of May - an appearance at Firm Foundations, new EP released and into the Battle of the Bands.

This Saturday, 12th July - The Evolution Band will be featured on the Spotlight Competition - Loretta Fenton Presents Show on Premier Christian Radio (6-7pm). Final Approaching
This Friday (27th June) - sees the final of the Saffron Walden Battle of the Bands Competition.
The compeititon will be fierce with 5 bands all hoping to win the public vote.
The Evolution Band were winners of Heat 1 and will be up against Super Casino, Tzar, Stick Finger Orchestra and Roland.
There will also be an opening set by The Tymes
Entry is £5 and doors open at 7:30pm
We look forward to seeing you there.
