Andrew, 24, earned a standing ovation for his performance of Paolo Nutini's Rewind on Britian's Got Talent. 
Andrew is a 24 year old plumber from West Lothian. He has been singing from a very young age but has never had the confidence to perform publicly until he was 13 when he and his friends entered a school talent competition. Andrew now performs regularly in his local area and helps to organise charity nights with his friends to raise money. Andrew is a trained plumber and lives with his parents above their pub. Andrew is very close to his grandparents who he says have inspired him to be a good person.

We have not heard the last of Andrew Muir. Andrew will make it big. He may not have won BGT but he has won ALL of our hearts.

He did Scotland proud!!

    FAULDHOUSE'S Britain's Got Talent star, Andrew Muir, is in mourning for his six-year-old cousin who lost her fight with cancer.
    Lori Callaghan, of Fauldhouse, West Lothian, died eight days after he sang in the final of the TV show. Plumber Andrew 24, said the family were "heartbroken".

      SINGING plumber Andrew Muir today does a surprise turn for his brother’s 21st — after we filmed him singing Happy Birthday.

      The Britain’s Got Talent star will be on stage with the show in Birmingham while Ross celebrates his big day at a family party in their home town of Fauldhouse, West Lothian, 300 miles away.

      But last night The Sun caught up with him between tour dates to shoot the special video for his little bruv.

      He sang birthday greetings and sent his love as we filmed in the bedroom of the house he is renovating.

      Andrew, 24, is “gutted” he will miss the party in the Fauldhouse Welfare Club — but he paid tribute to Ross who he calls his “best mate”.

      He said: “We are really close — we don’t fight at all. Everyone is going to be there and it’ll be some party. But since I’m not there I thought it would be good to wish him happy birthday in style and what a way to do it.

      “I’d love to see his face when he sees the video.

      “I really appreciate The Sun for doing this as I’m sure Ross will.”

      The pair’s parents Marion and Andrew, both 42, and sisters Demi, 12, and Saoirse, nine, will all be at the bash — as will the parents of tragic cousin Lori Callaghan who died recently of brain cancer aged six.

      Andrew, who dedicated his performances on the talent show to Lori, added: “Lorraine and John are doing OK but these things take time. The party will be a nice family occasion for everyone.”

      Meanwhile Andrew will be singing his heart out at the Birmingham NEC. It is the last gig before the tour’s big climax at London’s O2 arena on Saturday.

      He said: “There will be a few tears shed afterwards. We’ve all been together since the start and, it sounds cheesy, but we’re like one big family. It’ll be a tough night.”

      After the tour Andrew will return home to the family pub, the Commercial Inn.

      But he is looking forward to moving out into his new home — and forging a showbiz career.

      He said: “I’ve got a few meetings lined up after the tour’s over so we’ll see how it goes — but I’ve definitely got a taste for it.”

      So Ross, here’s to a happy 21st from The Sun.

      HEARTBROKEN Britain's Got Talent star Andrew Muir has promised to turn today's funeral of his six-year-old cousin into a celebration of her life.

      Singing plumber Andrew, 24, will don a pink cravat for the occasion and has asked mourners to wear pink and other bright colours as attribute to brave Lori Callaghan.

      She died of a rare brain cancer on Sunday.

      Andrew, of Fauldhouse, West Lothian, said: "I want to say a few kind words and tell some funny stories about Lori.

      "All the family want it to be a celebration of her life, so we're asking people to wear pink and anything bright.

      "Her mum and dad have selected some of her favourite songs and we'll play them at the funeral, although I've no plans to sing."

      BRITAIN’S Got Talent finalist Andrew Muir last night told of his sadness at the death of his young cousin.


      Lori Callaghan, six, was diagnosed with a rare brain cancer last June and given eight months to live.

      But she bravely clung on before passing away on Sunday.

      Singing plumber Andrew, 24, said: “We’re all heart-broken. She was an amazing little girl who taught us how to love each other and how to be strong.”

      Lori’s dad John added: “She always loved listening to Andrew sing and we’ve no doubt that’s why she held on as long as she did.”

      Andrew has taken a break from the show’s tour to attend Friday’s funeral at home in Fauldhouse, West Lothian.
