About Me

Me, Myself, and I: pencil toes are from hereford, england. they met at the end of 2006, played their first local show at the start of 2007, and by august had a personal invite from the gossip to open 2 UK shows in front of 2000+ sell-out crowds (their first shows outside of hereford). by the end of the year steve lamacq, huw stephens and colin murray had all played demo tracks by the band on bbc radio one, artrocker magazine featured another demo track on their december covermount CD, and drummer alex became the first member of the band to turn 18. a publishing deal with domino records has kicked off what should be a very exciting 2008.

musically the band will appeal to fans of bloc party, yeah yeah yeahs, be your own pet, etc. they play upbeat post-punk with poppy and dancey elements. pencil toes is elle, dan, sam & alex.
