- We are a jazz/fusion band who have been going for under a year and we perform all the classics, first changing them around and bit and modifying them to suit our own style. We enjoy extended jams and going insane when perhaps we shouldn't, and each one of us represents the cream of the crop for our individual instruments.
If you ever need a jazz band to play in a gig, you know where to come!
We are:
Sam Inkersole: Saxes
Ted Cheverton: Horns
Adam Frost: Guitar
Joe Iles: Piano
Alan Bowman: Bass
Malcolm Corbin Drums
We intend to re-spark an interest in jazz amongst the young generations - a revolution which we can safely say has started successfully with our debut public performance at the KES Music Extravaganza. That's our purpose - we will stick to it - you have heard all that needs to be said.

Dunkerton recordings
The recent recordings from a New Jazz Revolution performance in early June demonstrate the breadth of their sound capabilities.
From the dark bass-and-drum-driven 12 minute version of Red Clay to the dreamy psychedelic vibes on So What, the essence of 'Summer Jazz' is not lost on any of the songs performed.
Aside from the straight jazz and fusion numbers covered, two exciting bossa nova tunes were featured - Horace Silver's Song For My Father, and Kenny Dorham's Blue Bossa; the latter was aired using acoustic guitar.
Delving into the repertoire of Herbie Hancock, the NJR reviewed his undying 70's funk anthem Chameleon, giving the band the oppurtunity to experiment with a wide variety of synth sounds. The famous low-end intro was played on electric bass and marches confidently all the way through this epic song.
Nevertheless, the finest moment in this gig came in the form of the bluesy Cantaloupe Island - another Hancock number, which the NJR nailed easily with superb solos all round. A fitting end to a fantastic summer's day, and thanks are in order to techy Alex - without him we would not have these great recordings, nor the keys on such numbers as So What and Chameleon.0 Comments 472 days

The definition of JAZZ
Jazz is a verry collective noun, lots of people decide they don't like jazz after lkistening to one type or one track off a cd. If you've listened to it once, say you listened to a ballard (verrrry boring), try listening to funk, bebop or latin (they are more upbeat). Just try different types and i garante you will find at least one type of jazz you like.0 Comments 624 days
