I am a musician in the bands Infinisynth (presently sleeping), Future Dialogue, Shaky Dawg, Subterranean Sharpened Key Combo (a jazz project) and Deemed Psychotic. I'm also recording my first solo project, Tor's Angst, which is going into final mixes in late summer, 2009.

Films
I like films created as art, which entertain me. I always loved Maya Derens films, and I quite like early Russian Montage and German Expressionism. Many Bollywood films are also quite entertaining to me (though I have seen no more than a dozen or so). I like Tarkovsky (particulary Stalker), Kieslowski (Three Colours series is just wonderful). And of course Shinya Tsukamoto's Tetsuo films. oh yeah, I like splat films like Re-Animator, Evil Dead, Shaun of the Dead, and From Beyond. Zombie films are great, just not as my fun as when my sister hated them...
Comics
The collection is over 14, 000 issues these days. A lot of Marvel, Vertigo, 2000AD, and independants like Wolff & Byrd, The Tick, Slacker Comics and other such madness.

  • 5 new ANGST songs are roughed out

    wow, just finished the tracks for five new songs. I wanted 14 total for the release so I have now 8 done with six left for next year. This is by far the most complicated and convoluted work I have done yet. Probably should not have wanted to do a solo project featuring only myself, there is no one to blame anything on...

    but it is moving forward, with ideas flowing. but I am feeling quite burned out too.

  • if I seem gone for awhile...

    So for all that know me, I just got back from a visit to Waterford and am preparing to go back into the studio in a couple days to record more Tor's Angst. I plan on doing another four or five tracks before stepping back out. Cause I am playing everything I get quite burned out from the experience and might barely respond for weeks. Just wanted you all to know.

  • a summer and fall of furious recording

    Wow, just moved in June from Ardnageehy to Kilcrohane. I live with the Dark World studio in my house, so moving is never fun, lots to set-up again, always.

    But the new house has a great atmosphere, obviously, as five artists made a summer visit to record. It was a month and a half of non-stop improvisational sessions. Johnny M, a Dark World artist available on iTunes, was the last to visit. He stayed ten days.

    Soon as he was gone, Kristi (pres of the label) had my sister and I (Deemed Psychotic) working on our second release, '2nd Take'. After a month, eight tracks were finished (should be going online soon) and now it is break time for a couple days before I am supposed to go back into the studio to continue the solo release, Tor's Angst, which I am also in the middle of. work, work, work... at least it is something I enjoy, though I am really needing a vacation these days.
