Bernie Wins World Title Number 3!!
Bernie McKinley travelled to Evansville, Indianapolis for the W.D.F.P.F World Powerlifting Championships on the 23rd of November and reclaimed her world powerlifting title. In addition to reclaiming her world title, Scotland also claimed 3rd place in the team event with the combined totlas from Bernie, Wullie Brown and Mary Anderson.0 Comments 340 days

John McEwan Wins British Weightlifting Title!!
Marinecraft member John McEwan travelled to Kefalonia in October for the World Weightlifting Championships were he finished in 5th place. He also competed in the British Weightlifting Championships held in Kilwinning on the 1st of November where he took his 1st British title in the open category in the 75kg weight class. BDFPA Scottish Divisional Powerlifting Championships 2009!!
The Scottish Divisional Full Power and Single Lift Powerlifting Championships 2009 in association with the BDFPA will be held at the Marinecraft Gym, Dumbarton on the 15th Febuary 2009. Competitors must be members of the BDFPA to be eligible to compete and can download a membership form at www.bdfpa.co.uk. Also, to be eligible to compete at the British Championships, you must have been a member of the association for three months.
The competition is open to both novice and experienced lifters. Anyone interested in competing please feel free to get in touch.0 Comments 370 days

Well done to Alison Roger who is the second Scottish champ in 2009. Alison won the indoor shot put title 30 mins after John's weightlifting title on Sunday 1st Feb, but who's counting!
