SkoolCraic.com was featured on the southeast's most popular station Beat 102 - 103. Gerard spoke to Niall, Vinney and Mary on air from the "Beat Breakfast" morning show. The chat went great and similar to what Joe & Keith from SPIN did, Beat got their listener's to text in some of their own funny experiences and asked what year they had the most craic in skool!

Many people texting into Beat were saying 5th year was their best year, which slightly differs from our poll on the site with 6th Year having most votes
Niall read out some of the featured stories on the site which was great, particularly funny was the "behind the teacher's back" story.. those who were tuned in know what I'm talking about!

Gerard from SkoolCraic.com briefly spoke with Joe and Keith from SPIN's Breakfast Xpress show this morning about the site. They were asking how the initial idea came about. Gerard mentioned that although the site has just launched, its still very much work in progress and would love to get some suggestions and ideas for the site to take it further.

He was also saying that the next step is to concentrate on getting stories submitted, keeping the site up to date and to introduce new features along the way.

Joe commented on the design of the site and was impressed at how easy it was to navigate. Listener's were texting in their best year in secondary school which corresponded to the poll we're currently running on the site!

Overall it was excellent exposure for SkoolCraic 4 days into going live! ...and the site has finally been picked up on Google today

SkoolCraic is only up and running now 2 days and we've already had alot of interest in the site! We haven't even looked into promoting the site as of yet, mainly due to the fact that its a hobby so we don't exactly have a excessive advertising budget.

The "Uploaded Craic" on the site so far has been great. Some excellent stories up there. Here's just 2 of our favorites...


(There's always a Smartarse)

During a 6th year history class in an all boys school, the teacher (male) mentioned that in days gone by people believed that masturbation made you go blind. One smartarse at the back was quick off the mark and shouted "Sir, we're over here!!!!" (We laughed so much that he got a round of applause)



(Nervous breakdown...)

We had this teacher and we used to give her a nervous breakdown at least once a week without fail. When I say nervous breakdown I dont mean she used to shout here and there at us, oh no, what I mean is the actual medial term - "a sudden or acute attack of mental illness". We used to jump out the window without her noticing and continuously keep coming back in the class room door! Another day we unscrewed the blackboard off the wall, took it outside and put it on top of her car!
