Powerpoint Edinburgh is a monthly Christian youth event supported by es-team, an initiative of Scripture Union Scotland, held in West Edinburgh between October and April.
On average it is attended by around 400 young people, drawn from Edinburgh, the Lothians, the Scottish Borders and Fife.
Each month the event includes:
* Live music
* Interactive and fun games
* Guest speakers
* The Mix - an opportunity to meet others
offering plenty of opportunities to
* worship God
* learn more about Jesus
* explore more about what it means to be a Christian
* meet other young Christians
It’s fun, it’s exciting, why not come along?

Frenzy 08
This year was my first year at Frenzy, and though hearing a lot about it I didn't really know what to expect. The first thing that stunned me was the enormous number of people! My friend and I collected our wristbands and perched on a grass verge near the main hall, watching the crowds pass by, munching on a few snacks we'd brought along. A while later we headed into the main hall, and by this time I had already spotted quite a few people I knew. Finally, the bands started to play and I was taken in almost immediately. The times we managed to make our way near to the front I ended up feeling like I was in a can of sardines in an oven, but other than feeling like I was slowly being cooked it was wonderful. The line-up of YFriday, Phil Wickham, Leeland, Rebecca St James, David Crowder Band, Chris Tomlin and Delirious? was superb and I certainly heard some talent I've never experienced before.
I'm looking forward to Frenzy 09 already!

Exams etc.
Hey everyone
It's exam time, so please keep everyone taking exams just now in your prayers! We hope all you guys get the results you want.
Recently we've been losing a few members (cries) so if there's anything you all want to see on this site that would improve it, like regular discussions etc, then please don't hesitate to tell us! Our aim is to provide an excellent way of keeping in contact with all your powerpoint friends.
On that note, if you lovely members have friends that go to powerpoint that also have bebo, please tell them about this site

Powerpoint was awesome tonight. The subject really hit home and made me reflect on my life. I haven't been making Jesus number 1 in my life, my girlfriend Heather kind of stole that role. But Powerpoint has inspired me to try and change for the better. Thank you Powerpoint!!
The worship was awesome tonight as well. This is the first time I've ever raised my arms... ever!
And thank you for the Father's love letter. It is amazing, and makes me really emotional to read it!

Its been a great year for Powerpoint, first full year as a Steward, it's been quite something else, coming month after month, and observing just how much lvoe for god the youth in Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife and everywhere else have for God, it is really powerful
Just to remind everyone not to turn up in Janruary to St Thomas' (unless that is your church, in which case you will be going to the clubhouse with Martin), as everyone is encouraged to pray in their own churches/homes/youth clubs/wherever they meet to have a youth club

I love Powerpoint so much. Theres a feeling around Powerpoint that you don't get anywhere else... a feeling you only get when 500+ young people come together in one Church and worship God.

Powerpoint was FANTASTIC this month, don't you think? Certainly setting the standards high for the rest of this year!
I thought Kev's illustration of the mirror (or "mirrr") was really effective, and I'm sure the mirrors we all were given will remind us of how we are to reflect God's light.
This is quite funny... the pictures both Matt and myself drew came up on the screen! My one was the first one where nobody stood up... it was of my friend and she's really shy! I guess GCSE art was useful after all
