FLASH MOB! Glasgow, Mon 21st Sept, George Square
Hi guys,
just to let you know about something amazing happening in Glasgow on Monday 21st, at George Square at 4.30pm...
y'know the tv adverts where people are milling about in the train station, then they suddenly all start dancing?? well, that's a flash mob, and there's one happening in Glasgow on Monday, but this time for a good cause. We want to turn up the volume on our climate change campaign, and give world leaders a wake up call!!
so, come along to George Square at 4.30 and be ready to make a noise! when you arrive, just mill about, then at 4.33pm exactly, there will be a signal and we'll all count down from 100-0. bring bells, drums, whistles, anything that makes a noise.
find out more here http://www.avaaz.org/en/sept21_rsvp/...
and see you there on Monday!!
:-)

countdown to Copenhagen is ON! 100 days to go...
Hiya!
today marks 100 days til the climate change conference in Copenhagen... where world leaders will meet to decide what to do about climate change.
We're the generation that will have to live with the decisions that they make- so get involved and send your message to the Prime Minister before he goes!
www.sciaf.org.uk/climatejustice
the clock is ticking... get your message across and ask Gordon for urgent action now!
thanks! :-)
ps- don't forget to check out www.sciaf.org.uk/whatson to see what we're up to in the next 100 days, from film screenings to demonstrations, and find out how you can be part of it...

Thanks to you guys, Scotland now has a world-leading Climate Change Bill!
Thanks to everyone who took part in the Global Warning campaign! Scotland now has a climate change bill we can be proud of, that does our fair share to tackle climate change, and that will really make a difference for those living in poverty.
Theresa, who works with SCIAF partners in El Salvador, said:
“This is a wonderful thing. Climate change is a global problem that will affect us all, but is already affecting the most vulnerable. Scotland is looking outwards at one world, saying we are all in this together, extending a hand of solidarity. You are doing something to change the structures that cause poverty- this law is going to have a tremendous effect.”
Thanks everyone!
PS- don't forget to take the next action: making sure the global climate deal is as good as the Scottish one!! go to www.sciaf.org.uk/climatejustice to be part of it!0 Comments 124 days
