Me, Myself, and I
What is this all about?

Well, we are a group of 2nd year Arts Management students in IADT, Dún Laoghaire. As part of our course we are organizing a visual arts event, entitled "r8 ur art".

When: 2nd, 3rd and 4th of April
Where: The Science Gallery, Trinity College

We are creating an exhibition consisting of the opinions and memories of the Dublin public regarding sculpture in their city, which will be collected through the use of modern communication technology i.e. MySpace, Bebo, SMS Text, Film The responses will be displayed in the Science Gallery from the 2nd - 4th April and unlike most exhibitions, it will be an organic and constantly changing display that will expand and develop as we receive more responses.

  • What the Metro had to say today

    Have a go:
Have you got a bee in your bonnet about the Spire? Are you indifferent to Molly Malone? Or loving Julian Opie's neon street walkers? Then get in touch with "r8 ur art" and be included in an interactive art exhibition at the Science Gallery. Masterminded by students at Dún Laoghaire's IADT, the initiative calls upon the cyberspace generation to submit their thoughts about Dublin's public art through e-mail, SMS, and websites. There are prizes for the best comments and photographs-as long as you're in them and not molesting Ms. Malone. Entries will be updated for the duration of the exhibit and displayed in a suitably hi-tech manner.

I personally like the wannabe Spire situated at the M50 roundabout at Tallaght. I like the lights that continiuosly flow up and down at night time. It gives me warm feeling!!
