What a pair of weeks it has been. Two weeks ago I headed into the studio with 5 songs and a guitar. 12 hours of studio work later I emerged with a 9-song album sounding like something that should have taken a lot more time. Here's the funny bit - I had to leave the country a week after that, so I ordered 100 copies printed up and figured I'd be carrying them back with me on the plane.
They're all gone.
With the exception of 10 I sent to CD Baby, I have 2 copies left. Before I even released the thing, friends and acquaintances bought all the copies I had. So here I am with an album release and no albums left to sell!
I've never experienced anything like this before. I suppose it could be because I was leaving town, but from the feedback I've been getting it's actually because people heard it, liked it and told everyone they knew to get a copy. That's awesome. Thanks a million to everyone who bought one.
For those of you who don't have a copy yet - get on CD Baby and snatch up the last few! I guess I better look into printing up some more, post-haste . . .1 Comment 427 days
