CODES- FRIDAY 18th DECEMBER 2009
Codes are an alternative/electronic quartet from Dublin, Ireland. Expansive yet melodic. Powerful yet delicate, their music colours the void between the ambience and longevity of soundtrack music and the energy and immediacy of live music.

Never ones to be content with trend-following, the group have taken the recognisable 4-piece band formula and moved it into something entirely their own.

Soaring vocal harmonies, dreamy arrangements and a calculated cryptography of electronic beats, piano, glockenspiel and analogue synthesizers permeate their sound.

Codes winter inspired debut album “Trees Dream In Algebra” which was recorded in Gloucestershire UK & mixed in Auckland, New Zealand with acclaimed producer Greg Haver (Manics, SFA) and mastered in NYC by Greg Calbi (U2,Interpol,Kings of Leon) is out now.

DJ's Richie, Stan and Joe from The Leitrim and The Brewery, bringing their blend of MC goodness and Chart music from The Brewrey and The Leitrim straight to the clarence dancefloor.
Wednesdays- Cheesy Singles
The newest thing to hit Sligo's student scene.All the cheesiest singles we love to remember. DJ Benny T and Seanie B giving out goodies all night
Thursdays-Mixbag
Following hot on the heels of the Mondays we have our famous Mixbag thursdays..a little bit of a mixture. We've had John O' Callaghan, Ferry Corsten so far, and of course our famous €2 Thursdays!
Friday - FoolsGold (The Alternative Disco)
New Alternative night every Friday! DJ Budge taking over the decks 20th November.Codes live on the 18th December and lots lots more. If you like Indie/Rock/Electronica/Funk.. you'll love this. Promises to be a good one!
Saturdays - I Love Saturdays
Every Saturday the Clarence presents I LOVE SATURDAYS, resident Djs spinning the best in Hip Hop // RNB // and Dance, Doors Open 11pm
