- The Hostiles are a ska-punk band from Ayr/Glasgow who formed in 2001. After going through almost their entire school brass band in a bid to find passionate members with whom to make music with, they now find themselves as a settled six piece.
The Hostiles’ first love is performing live. Over the last few years they've shared stages with Neville Staple, Beat Union, The King Blues, Random Hand, The JB Conspiracy, Leftover Crack, The Toasters, Sonic Boom Six, Zebrahead, Fandangle, Failsafe, Strike Anywhere, The Beat, Zox & Mouthwash. “You guys are exactly what most ska bands need to be.... good, creative, and catchy.”- garageband.com
Their debut album, Always Looking Forward was released in April 2009, and their plan for the rest of 2009 is to expand their fanbase by playing as many gigs as possible all over the UK.
“These boys kick the ass out of the Blink 182 brigade. If you get a chance go and see them, a definite recommendation”- livemusic.direct.co.uk

First Album Review
Well life's been pretty quiet on The Hostiles front, just busy writing some new material and promoting the album. Our show with Sonic Boom Six and Random Hand was an amazing night, and ended with Laila K from SB6 saying we were "The best band in Scotland right now", awesome! If you haven't heard either of those bands, check them out, we love them both!
Had our first album review, woohoo! check it out here:

Oh we had some good news today, we got confirmed for the Wickerman Festival in Dumfriesshire! Well excited!

Hostiles Update 25/3/09
Well the album is almost finished, should be getting sent to the printers tomorrow hopefully, exciting times all round! Album launch weekend is April 22nd til April 26th, its gonna be great fun, pop along to one of the shows!
Got 2 awesome pieces of news over the last couple of days, we're supporting Catch 22 at Ivory Blacks on April 22nd and Sonic Boom Six/Random Hand at Ivory Blacks on May 18th. Thats 3 of our favourite bands that we get to play with, and therefore see for free. Loving it! Also got one more support slot pencilled in for June...more to follow once its confirmed, but its another exciting one!!1 Comment 226 days
