Hey!
Hey guys!
Not said anything here for a while, just been so busy!!!
well, i've got to say i feel pretty much settled here now. got an amazing bunch of girls that i'm living with, plus tons of friends from classes and CU that i'm really getting to know quite well.
I know my way around now! (i discovered an exciting secret passageway to the realm of the library the other day. it went up magical steps and everything. i had fun)
classes... they are going pretty well. lots of work to be done (damn me for picking a sciency subject. 3 hour labs?!? what's that all about???) but yeah, i think i'm keeping up with it ok. i'm still enjoying every minute of it too. everything i've learned here has been so fascinating. even like all your non academicy stuff like learning about god and learning about myself... been going through a lot of that recently aswell.
yeah, speaking of which, i'm going along to the CU weekend away this weekend (going to miss halloween cheesy pop!!! how gutted am i?!?) but yeah, hopefully i'll just really learn sooo much this weekend, and really develop my relationship with god tons :-)
excited much!!!
so yeah, i'd better stop killing time on this now, been spending FAR to much time on facebook etc recently. it's my own fault really but i blame the uni for posted everything online. i mean, i'm sitting here on a computer... what else do you expect me to do? NOT go on facebook? ha!
anyway, mis you all and see you soon!
lots of love

Little prayer request
Hey NEBSters!
i hope you's are all doing really well! i miss you guys!
anyway, this week has been pretty hectic so far, classes started on monday but i feel like i've been going to classes for about 5 million years! the maths lecturer today was hard-core, i mean seriously hard-core. he talked like arnol schwarzanneger, but boy was he not slow! i spent the entire lecture going "aahh i can't even write as fast as he's going not to mention get my head around ANYTHING that he's saying"... may have to read through those lecture notes haha
anyway, i thought i would posibly ask if you guys could say a wee prayer for me. thing is, there are a few different studenty housegroup/bible study/christian/other groups that are going on around uni, and I have been checking them out this past week or so. now i know that i'm really gonna need a bit of guidance from the big G on this one, he's the one that it's ultimately for in the end. so if you guys could mibby send up a few wee prayers just so that i can get a really clear picture of what he wants for me that would be fabby.
oh and there is also like a prayer group that i'm pretty keen to join so if any of you guys have wee prayer requests, either message them to me, leave a comment on my page or on the NEBS page, or whatever, that would be really great!
ok guys love you and god bless!
talk to you soon! xxx1 Comment 435 days

The Interpreter
by

'We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us...' ROMANS 8:260 Replys 54 weeks
When you go to a foreign country you can feel uncomfortable and a bit lost, because you don't speak the language. The language of the spiritual world is prayer and since the spiritual world is the source of our power; victory, peace, joy, and everything else we need; it's essential that we learn to speak it. The good news is, we have the perfect teacher and interpreter; the Holy Spirit Himself. One of His jobs is to teach us the language of prayer and guide us when it comes to addressing God and He's good at this job! The Bible says the Holy Spirit can interpret our prayers to God even when we don't know what to say. 'If we don't know how or what to pray, it doesn't matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans' (Romans 8:26 TM). Isn't that cool? Prayer is the link between the physical and the spiritual world; remember Jesus listened to His Dad. He looked into heaven and copied it on earth. The Spirit also shows us what God is saying. That's why prayer cannot be rushed. It's also why taking time to be still before God is so important. It allows the Holy Spirit to share God's thoughts with us, so that we begin thinking His way and be like Him on earth?

Events coming up
by
Deleting Bebo
Hey people, I thought I'd better start contributing to the NEBS bebo page... seeing as I'm actually a leader now.0 Replys 60 weeks
Ok, there are two events I'd like to share with you people.
First off there's "ILLUMINATE", a worship event that's happening on Saturday the 11th of October (ie. next Saturday!) at the Liquid Room on Victoria Sreet. The cost is a mere TWO pounds, which isn't much (the same as Power Point!) I've been once or twice and it really is an amazing place where you can enjoy worshiping God to his heart's content!
http://www.illuminatescotland.co.uk/ <-- there's the web page if you want to check it out.
As well as an awesome time of worship at Illuminate, you can expect an awesome time at Glow Cafe. There's a ONE pound entry fee (it just gets better and better). This is a place for youth who want to meet up with other youth - playing games, eating lots [provided you bring money], and there's even entertainment. Now, I'm not too sure what the entertainment will be this time but last time there was singing and someone doing awesome card tricks. www.bebo.com/GloEdin and www.glowcafe.com <-- Although the websites say the next one is in June, it's really on the 24th of October! So don't miss out!

Prayer Ideas
by
Deleting Bebo
Here are some ideas as to how to pray-0 Replys 85 weeks
1. Dont be afraid to start at the VERY beginning of the day! When you wake up- try sending a wee prayer up to God! Remember- God is a friend... a simple 'hello' would be totally sufficient!
2. Your journey on the bus to school can be used for the better! Instead of finishing off your bio homework- try spending 10 minutes of praying to God!
3. Jot down some people to pray for. Carry that piece of paper with you EVERYWHERE! When you have moments of quiet- or even moments where you feel you can concentrate best- get the sheet out, and have a wee qiuck prayer for those people!
4. WRITE TO GOD. Keep a journal of prayers. Instead of speaking them- write them. It's JUST the same! God still hears!
5. Get into a prayer group- praying with others is essential. If you cant find one- start one! Find a group of Christian mates- have an evening in, and take time to pray! Doesn't need to be an hour long formal prayer meeting- but mind map. Think of some things to pray for- and join together in worship!
6. Pray with your family. Take time each night to read a passage from the Bible and to pray. If you parents aren't Christians- find another older Christian and try and meet up twice a week so you can pray together!
7. Start prayer chains. When a friend of yours needs prayer- send a message that can be forwarded by email or by comment. Then you manage to get loads of people praying. That comment can be passed on, and passed on and passed on!
8. Never stop ASKING for prayer! It's totally important. And vice versa- never stop asking people if they want prayer.
The most amazing thing about prayer is that God only ever wants to hear your precious voice- your worth so much to him! You just need to take a few moments a day to pray! Try some of these out- dont feel you should do all of them! Hehe. But, they may help you!
Get praying!
