I'm a student at University of Hull, studying Foundation Year Computer Science. Its a hell of a lot more interesting than what was at Leggott, thats for sure. Personality-wise i'm all-out Goth, as well as a blatant animal lover. I'm also a writer and philosopher, truth be told.
Thats it for now.

A few points
- There is not going to be a 20th Birthday Party for myself. Problems with Family are causing me to quit the idea altogether.
- Depression is a problem. If I don't talk for a while, its 'cause i'm crippled by my corrupted state of mind.
- Apologies to the people who recieved a Valentines card. If you were offended, I apologise.0 Comments 628 days

About Punk
Picture this - Skateboarding, Rock Music and Groovy Clothes. Now an oxymoron it seems. It really does get on my nerves that nowadays almost everything that used to be good is now consider Chav culture. I mean, its annoying to find that board in your closet is unusable now that the scum of society have burned the skatepark down, and caused massive disruption to residents. Its a crying shame.
If you look at my videos, you'll see a clip i've uploaded from when Bam Margera and Bob Burnquist made skateboarding 'Punk' - awesome in other words. Before Rappers who had the IQ of half their age (around 14) decided to endorse it and turn it horrible.
My fears were increased by this horrifying revelation I heard on the radio last night. Simon Cowell's bunch of tossers have started ruining classic rock songs now. Aerosmith's "Walk this Way" is considered a classic amongst punks. Now, they made a pop remix to it, which was featured on BBC's "Strictly come wandering around like an idiot". Its scary, as anyday they could ruin something else which is awesome and appropiate to my lifestyle. But for now, Macintosh, DS, Nirvana (the band), Wii and Plushies are safe. But for how long, I don't know.
Sooner or later Goth will be consisted of nothing different from the scum. Damn.1 Comment 676 days

Windows Vista: Game Off
Now Vista is stable enough, i've been running my old apps under it. The new Games folder thing works well, and is a much nicer alternative than the horrible 'tweaked' Start Menu. I had to hack it again to get it to point to the right files, but otherwise its two double-clicks to games.
I've been noticing some issues though. Notably, the resources Vista gobbles are astronomical, and the inbuilt graphics don't help either. I'm getting performance around about the same as my old Pentium M Laptop (2005 spec) which really is unacceptable considering the power of this machine. I've also noticed issues with older games - Age of Empires jerks now and then, and the SEGA PC Games don't even run (I suspect they use WinG). However, Half-Life and Unreal Tourney work perfectly. Well, Half-Life is a bit annoying without proper support for an analogue gamepad (keyboard and mouse are too twitchy for me).
I've found by running Open-Source "iApps" instead of Microsoft ones (example: Pidgin instead of Windows Live Messenger) the system is much faster. Disabling the sidebar also helps, it seems. So I guess the key to a fast Windows Vista is mostly in fine tweaking.0 Comments 688 days
