All this for a scandolously recession approved €30!! Tix available now from www.greatfriday.ie

- The Great Friday Festival
- Five years of very serious partying by the people of Limerick caused the Great Friday House Party to burst at the seams and in 2008 the move came from house to field. Partygoers cried for more entertainment, and that they got. the cream of Limericks music scene came out to entertain and the legendary atmosphere of Great Friday survived the transition. The result: The Great Friday Festival. Coming April 10th 2009.

Whats that? Over there in the distance...
Great friday has been busy out, working day and night to ensure the music keeps on flowin.
The Great Friday Cellar has started off with a bang, holiding a low key launch to a packed venue with more than a few Limerick heads floating around the place, there's loads of gigs coming up there with Roadrunner, The Mission and Limericks own Blackstar playing this Thursday the 19th and the Out Last Knights and Chaser taking the stage Friday 20th. We're hoping to get the bebo into full swing soon, in the mean time myspace.com/thecellargigs should have some info going.
Limerick is to be bombarded by GF Festival related rumours, news and gossip over the next seven weeks and two days, keep an eye on the local press for info but the best place to be to make sure you're in the know is one of the fundraisers being run in Bakers. The first fundraiser will be held on February 27th with Syllian Rael, the first of many dublin bands brought in via the GF Cellar will play alongside mainstays I Caught Fire. The line up for the 14th and 20th of march fundraisers is still being finalised but will include crowd pleasers- Snowman, compo winners- Clurichaun and powerhouse of the Limerick rock scene- Fox Jaw Bounty Hunters. Full details up when available.
We're currently in last minute rush talks with other promoters to try and squeeze in a Dublin leg of the band compo, it'll be tight at this late stage but the details will be up in the next few days if we can get it through.0 Comments 263 days
