We hold regular events where vision impaired youth and their sighted peers can come together to socialise.
We also hold 2 camps a year, one is specialsied, focusing on on a spacifc topic such as music or sport and going for 2 days the other is more general and will focus on a theme such as trust or self esteem.

Employment Workshop

Come along to the employment workshop where there will be a discussion panel as well as advise given from the RNZFB's employment consultant. This will all mbe going down on Wednesday 25 March from 5.30pm at Fale Kotuku, Browns Rd, Manurewa.

LIVE IN WEEKEND
Hi all,
This is to advise you that the next SEYFF live in weekend is fast approaching! And you can book a space now.
The live in will be held from 10am Friday 26 September to 4pm Sunday 28 September and the cost for the weekend will be $60 for core members (17 years to 30 years inclusive) or $100 for non-core members (anyone outside this age group).
You will need to meet at Awhina House, 4 Maunsell Rd, Newmarket, Auckland no later then 10.30am on Friday 26th September. If anyone from Hamilton is interested inc coming along we are able to provide transport here and back again, this will be at no additional cost.
The title of this camp is getting to FINDING YOURSELF. There will be outside facilitation, group discussions, a panel discussion and who can forget all those activities we love to throw in for a laugh!
While the live in will be held at an Auckland location all attendees MUST stay on-site (unless an activity takes them off-site) for the duration of the weekend.

NEW SEYFF BRANCHES
Hey all,
This is all in the pipelines but we're looking at starting SEYFF programmes in Waikato and Christchurch!
I know there are a lot of people in these areas that have been on at us for a while now to get it sorted but you know how it is, without the motivated people in those areas it just doesn't happen. We put a lot of time, money and work into Wellington only to have nothing come of it due to a lack of motivation from people down that way so we're really optamistic that that wont be the case with Waikato and Christchurch.
Anyway, we're looking at doing something in Hamilton sometime in May (hopefully before the short camp so people from Waikato can come along if they want). And I'm planning to be in Christchurch at the end of June so we can look at doing something then.
If you're an enthusiastic motivated, motivational person who wants to be in.... please send me a private message so we can make contact and hopefully get the ball rolling.
You've seen pics and vids from some of the stuff we do up here in Auckland, why should the rest of the country miss out!

Live In Weekend

Our live in weekend's fast approaching, the topic for this year is Independant Living.
Independant living doesn't just mean how to clean a house, we're also going to look at things like doing the gardening, and home economics like fixing a button on a shirt and sorting laundry. On Friday night we're even going to have a grooming session, the guys are going to go off and do their thing and the chicks are going to do our thing, nobody can guess what that means!
On the Saturday night we're going to go out to dinner and look at restaurant etiquette and if there is something in particular you want to look at, we're happy to try and squeeze it in somewhere over the weekend.
It's going to be a heap of fun so if you want to come along, contact SEYFF, make arrangemenst to pay the $40 attendance fee and we can take it from there. The live in weekends going to be from Friday 27 June to Sunday 29 June in Auckland.
If you live out of Auckland, we can also look at helping out with sponsorship if you want to come along.
