- Hue And Cry were formed in 1986, when brothers Patrick and Gregory Kane brought together their vocal, lyrical and musical talents. They were an instant success, scoring hits like Labour of Love, Looking for Linda and Violently, bringing out acclaimed albums like Remote and Seduced and Abandoned, even opening for Madonna for three nights at Wembley Stadium!
The brothers have always combined jazz with pop and soul, and their nineties albums for the prestigious jazz label Linn Records continued that tradition. Figures as stellar as the Brecker Brothers, Tito Puente, Ron Carter and Mike Stern have played with H&C over the years. The brothers have also opened for James Brown, Ray Charles and Van Morrison.
After success in the ITV1 show 'Hit Me Baby One More Time' in 2005, the brothers' passion for making pop music was rekindled. The resulting album, Open Soul - out in early 2008 and with supporting tours - shows Hue And Cry returning to their confident, sophisticated best.

Hue and Cry will be releasing a new album on 30th November entitled Xmasday. The album, which contains a mixture of brand new Hue and Cry tracks along with some classic songs and seasonal favourites, takes the listener on a typical Christmas day journey, from the early morning air of excitement, through all the ensuing fun and festivities, to the contented end of the day. It’ll be available as ten track CD and digital download. The album will also be available as part of the Deluxe Limited Edition Gift Box.

The History City Xmas Weekend - Update!
As previously announced, this Christmas Hue and Cry are presenting The History City Xmas Weekend. Until now, access to the shows has been available to Hue and Cry fans exclusively via platinum pass packages. These packages have now been made available to the general public and are selling fast so make sure you don’t miss out!
Platinum passes are still available and from today you can also purchase tickets for the Friday night Piano & Vocal show and the Saturday night full band show separately. Please note that there will be no separate sale at any time of the ‘extras’ included in the platinum pass package.
The History City Xmas Weekend - two special Hue and Cry shows over one weekend in their home town of Glasgow at the renowned ABC venue on Sauchiehall Street. Friday 18 December will see Pat and Greg Kane perform an up close and personal piano & vocal performance in the intimate surroundings of the venue’s ABC2 room. Saturday 19 December will see the brothers line up as part of the full seven piece band for a spectacular event in the venue’s main ABC hall.

Hue and Cry confirmed for Homecoming Live
We are delighted to announce that Hue and Cry have been confirmed to play a brief piano and vocal set at this years grand Homecoming Live concert at the SECC in Glasgow on 28 November. Homecoming 2009 has seen a series of events throughout the year to celebrate all things Scottish, including celebrating the 250th anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns, culminating in the Homecoming Live concert on St. Andrews day weekend which will see Pat and Greg perform during an event featuring a wealth of Scottish talent.
