Scottish Tour October '09
For photographs and videos from the tour, go to: http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?f...
16th - The Anchorage, Isle of Harris
17th - The Woodlands Centre, Isle of Lewis
19th - Hootananny's, Inverness
20th - Bar Bloc, Glasgow
21st - Harley's Bar, Bathgate
22nd - Cabaret Voltaire w TBWTTS + Cassidy (acoustic set), Edinburgh
24th - Electric Circus w The Zephyrs (acoustic set), Edinburgh
The tour began with the first night of the Island leg on Friday, in the deep south of the Isle of Harris, at The Anchorage. A great turn-out. I played an impromptu cover of Paolo Nutini's 'Candy' and invited a screaming chorus with DC and John of Blink182 the whole 50 miles back to Stornoway.
Saturday night's Woodlands Centre gig was great, with many family and friends lining the front rows. Thanks to Lauren for her photography skills over both nights. We were lucky enough to wait for X-factor to finished before we started and when it did, the placed filled just lovely. Shout out to Big AL for coming to his first dotjr gig. Thanks for coming bruv!
After a day of rest on Sunday (filled with me frantically scrambling together more EPs) it was across The Minch on Monday to Inverness, for night 3 of the tour in Hootananny's. We love this place and the venue filled with a lovely crowd of quiet and all-round well mannered chaps. Thanks Inverness!
Many thanks to all those who came down to Bar Bloc on Bath Street, Glasgow on Tuesday night and a big-up to Pam and Adabel (originally from Los Angeles), who travelled up that day from Manchester for the gig- much appreciated guys
Also, a shout-out to Iain, who wowed the audience with his unprecedented break-dancing skills. I loved this show! True dat. Thank you so much again and especially for the lovely accompaniment ending in a room-filling chorus of 'Where Stars Fall Down' to close, followed by an encore of 'Digital Love'. Love you all lots.

Glasgow was followed by a gig in Bathgate, organised by Gap Radio. Also playing were 4dayweekend, Ewan Butler and Ross Mitchell. Shout out to 4DW these boys are wickad!
Thursday night, I made the huge decision of keeping it stripped down:-) We kept it upbeat but nice and quiet. I also performed a duet with my best bud The Boy Who Trapped the Sun supporting Cassidy at Cabaret Voltaire, Edinburgh.
Friday night my pal Cristin joined me and we performed an acoustic set supporting awesome homelanders The Zephyrs at Electric Circus in Edinburgh.
Many thanks for all the support before and during the tour- to Ellen, Ross(and the rest of the guys in Bathgate) and of course everyone who came out to the gigs.
Each night was a resounding success, with such a warm welcome at each venue and the EPs sold out each night.
Definite highlights from the tour included: the crowd singing along to 'Stars Fall Down' at Bar Bloc in Glasgow; and the overwhelming support at home.
Thank you all and hopefully see you again next year
Love you lots

Loudoun Castle 20 June 2009
To view photos from the day click:

On Saturday we travelled to Loudoun Castle theme park to play a few sets as part of the Cars 'n' Rides show which was being put on for Father's Day.
It was an amazing day: rollercoasters, pirate boats and divers jumping from 84 ft into shark infested waters, but without the sharks.
After the gig we chilled out at Cristin's flat in Glasgow for a few hours, then jumped into the van for 6 hours of travel to Uig in Skye, which im going to add, was the worst thing ever! It was also Cristin's 21st birthday on Monday, so he spent the beginning of that in a van full of tired and smelly "musicians".
A big thanks to Daryn, Colin and everyone else at Loudoun Castle who helped us out.

Hey everyone.
A huge thank you to everyone who came to the show at the City Bar and also a massive thank you needed to those who missed half of Biffy's set to catch us at Rockness on Sunday! Our Lunar Activities, Casio Kids and St Deluxe also rocked the black isle pub stage over the weekend
James, Ivor and Keith performed three songs for BBC Radio Scotland, for which we will try and find out when they go out on air, and let you know. (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/vicgallo...
It was an amazing festival and the Prodigy were just insane!
A few things are going on in the dotjr camp: Firstly, the official trailer for the movie "What Goes Up", which features a clip of "Where Stars Fall Down" is now out. More info can be found at www.whatgoesup-themovie.com.
A massive thank you to Jori Kim, Innes and everyone else who helped out over the weekend.
