After talking to a ton of kids on the recent Rise Against tour about how meat's not green, I came across a lot of arguments about how eating soya meat substitutes were—apparently—more damaging to the environment than eating meat. I was told I was the one destroying the rainforest by it being cut down to grow soybeans. Uh no—check your facts pal!

Livestock feeds account for 98% of soybean meal consumption, with the rest used in human foods such as bakery ingredients and meat substitutes. So I will quite happily continue to eat my soya 'chicken nuggets' and 'soya steak', and go to sleep at night knowing that not only have I not contributed to the death of an animal but I'm also doing good for my planet!

This weekend I'm going to be spreading the green message at the Give It A Name festival in London on Friday 17th and Sunday 19th April. Talk about some quality bands playing!

Is anyone else going to be at the show? You best come say hey and sign the petition!

A very kind woman in Colorado was shocked to find out that staff at her Department of Motor Vehicles are basically a bunch of prudes. The story, which is all over the news, is that she wants to get a license plate to show her support for healthy, humane, environmentally-friendly eating.

She decided to go with "ILUVTOFU" which seems simple enough, right? Nope! They rejected her pretty much for being inappropriate! Can you believe that?

The DMV thought some people may misread I-LUV-TOFU as I-LUV-TO-F-U. See the difference? Whatever. Who's to say you can't love both anyway?

I understand the difference, but it's still totally ridiculous news. Let the woman have her license plate, will you please?!

What do you think? Should she be allowed to get a license plate expressing her love of animal-friendly tofu?

Do you think we should be worried when some of these "arguments" get longer and still don't make any sense? Oh, people.

1) This is the funniest thing I have ever read! oh you f**gy vegitarians and your f**gy ideas. I think all that lettuce has gone to your brain love. made you a ickle bit on the crazy side. So what if his chain of resteraunts kills chickens? It's the f**king food chain. Smaller, tastier animals get eaten by the larger hungry ones! I piss on your tofu. Go eat a lovely dead cow in a bun with plenty of ketchup, mother f**kers.

2) I know all about your evil plot for global domination. If you get your way, then all freedom in this world will die. I won't let that happen as long as I live.

3) That's a pretty stupid reason to go vegetarian. Those animals are destined to be eaten, either god put them here for us to eat or evolution made them tasty. Dogs and cats are domesticated animals, pigs, cows and chickens are not. They are livestock whose sole purpose is to be eaten by us.

4) Animals simply need to die. Such as humans although We are animals too you fat goths, although we have the ability to think and reason. (well some of us do) Animals need to die because of overpopulation. We intelligent people know that if too many exist there will be no more Tofu to eat because it will be all gone. Humans are culled too which is why war must happen and peace must not be allowed. 60 million people died in world war 2. Could you believe that if each of those 60 million people had 2-3 children each the world would have 19 billion people in it! we have enough trouble dismembering our food supply as it is and getting it to the people who need it. If you want to help animals do the world a favor (or mother Gaia w/e you hippies call it) and jump into a wood chipper, become compost, which will become dirt and allow you to grow watermelon for starving people. (Things grown in s**t is all you can sustain.)

5) How the he'll can u not eat meat it's the reason we have evolved smarter brains due to the essential proteins and the decline of the jaw muscle causing the brain to expand. Ow I would expect u to know that due to the fact u amercians font know evolutionary theory
